Korn...Schmeck 100% failed to give him enough consistent reps. But also our dl coaching hasn’t been where it needs to be. When is the last time we saw real meaningful development of any dl? Jeffcoat? Stove basically came in and did what he did. Same with kongbo. We’ve failed to get more out of dl talent for an awful long time. We’ve scouted some tremendous talent, mainly on the inside of the line. But the guys that worked out came in at a high level and left at the same level. Patterson is really well liked and a former bomber player, but I haven’t seen nearly enough from his guys. We’ve brought in soo many guys with pedigree, athleticism, every advantage you could want and not been able to get any of them to use those to win 1on1 vs hardly any one. Other impact free agents have been out there & we never can sign any of them. 12 minutes ago, Goalie said: Because linebackers aren’t a problem here probably. Now because someone else signed him, you and speed complain. Its blatantly obvious there is very little this regime will be able to do outside of signing everyplayer while not signing any players that either of you guys will like. I didnt say I want Sankey one time at all...and yeah said hard pass before...that was a general statement...and agree...hes a bit better version of T.Jones...just saying if a guy is available...who makes u better...get him regardless of who is under contract already But do agree...if this "regime" again decides to play the inferior player...excessive Canadians when not needed...and not best option...then yeah I gonna complain...cause its just more of the same again And I havnt said sign every player available either...so appreciate u not putting words in my mouth please and thanks...and save for guys who were cut already...and our own guys...there is nobody out there worth signing yet... Sankey is over rated and I would rather be have T.Jones. However, I want to see this year's camp to have some proven CFL talent challenging incumbents at every position groups. We don't play rookies unless they stand out, and that is only OK if you mix rookies with CFL proven talent to challenge at camp. Having 24 starters, a handful of 2nd year players, all rookies cannot be feasible if your organization likes to slow roll rookies. Also, the CFL talent has to be correctly identified. We saw maybe some of the worst GMing in Bomber history in our FA signings last year. Just atrocious. Booch 1
wbbfan Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago wow fajardos money is not what i expected. Even with them burying almost 200k this year on the cap and 35k in none cap money they gave him the ability to earn almost 450k. https://3downnation.com/2025/12/21/exclusive-cody-fajardo-contract-details-for-2026-cfl-season-with-edmonton-elks/ I would’ve bet they’d go after kelly, but idk with this money. The Argo HC said Kelly is the starter so I doubt he'd leave. With a year off, he should be good to go. BTW, some are saying that Patrick Mahomes may have to miss the 2026 season with his torn ACL.

Whether it's FA. or trade, he can't bring mediocrity to camp in his signings anymore. All we've seen over the past 3 years is KW mismanage the SMS so that allstars leave for more cash only to be replaced by middle of the road FA talent. That can't happen anymore, our well of all-stars is dry. Time after time we chose cheap over performance and look what it got us last year. He has to do whatever it takes to free up the cash to be effective, if that means making hard choices on Bombers who are underperforming on their salary level so be it. The BO contract shows me that he still does not understand that concept though. SpeedFlex27 1

They should have missed the playoffs had the ball bounced the other way. More like 7-11 or 8-10. The Bomber braintrust can say we had a winning record & made the playoffs. But we all watched the team & they were fortunate to winas many games as they did. The team will either bounce back or fall off a cliff, I believe. A lot depends on Walters getting off his duff & actually doing the work needed this off season. So far, the early signs seem promising. Bigblue204 1

Last year's inaction has provided him with a great opportunity to use up last year's SMS, so far it appears like he is at least doing that 4 months too late.

Yeah, it's helping now but we all wanted him to do it last off season as we had a Grey Cup hosting year.
