Yup I'm still thinking an upright less disrupted ZC can get the job done. Sooner than later though, we need to find our next long term QB, there's no doubt about that.

I blame scheme more than OL for the hits Zach was taking to be honest.

This year's nominees for the Jon Cornish Award. Featuring the son of David Benefield, Ty Benefield. Antawn Raymond is a really good one on that list, too. He has such a great mix of power and speed/quicks. Both of them, plus Mesidor and Elad, will be NFL-bound, I'm sure.

His protection has been getting worse year over year for the last three or so and been increasingly uncomfortable in the pocket.

Scheme (this year) was definitely a factor but Zach himself has gotten happy feet and he's as much to blame for the shots he takes as is the inadequacy of the offensive line or any offensive scheme.

So in summary ZC's protection issues are the fault of Jake Thomas, I mean the fault of a combination of things including scheme, linemen lack of execution, ZC's happy feet and lessening ability to adapt to and/or escape pressure not to mention the fact of other teams superior DLine compared to ours.
