Yes, Zach could and should do better, but unless he can walk on water, no way we are going to win unless the defence plays better say, by about 1000%.

Gonna have to ride BO until the wheels fall off tonight...That offensive group of receivers will strike no fear in anyione and it will be easy for stamps to basically eliminate our 2 best threats...and ZC cant be his hit or miss self...he needs to be ZC circa 2019-early 2022 or be sat down and or spelled off for multiple series a game and get Strev more acclimated....

And seeing we have 3 ends...real ends....and a more than capable Adams and Lawson we need to see them let loose...attacking and in heavy rotation...if Jake never saw the field we would look better than we have in yrs

Their record after a bye is damned good and a break won't make the old farts worse. I'm expecting a much different game than last time.

OL play. Vanterpool at LT is going to be a big change. It’s a tall order to keep zach clean with out big stan. But should help the run game. 
 

 big plays. Calgary killed us quickly and early with big plays, while we checked down and took yards short of the first. We need to flip that around today. 
 

Ball security. From bobbling returns to tossing picks we gotta do a better job of protecting the rock.

Then good for us...but cant see him doing anything amazing....and of he does....is it a one off or his actually skill?....but we need bigger receievers with a different skill set for ZC to be succesful

Coach said he had a great camp, what isn’t said is how well he runs routes, gets open, and catches the ball.

he says that about everyone....so thats just babble....he never stood out last yr in TC or in games...or this yrs camp...injury or not...cant make club from tub.

The only thing we can look at IMO is that team told us last year how great of returner he is. We saw him do that and they quickly replaced him with an aging Lucky. Zach likes his work ethic. I have a good work ethic too but no one wants me out there playing receiver on Friday night 😆

They all should have a good work ethis at this level....if thats all ZC has to say then whoopity do.....and we all have heard Osh say "they all are starter material"...which we know is total B.S so a lot of what comes out of his yaphole should not really be takem for any value

We didn't lose last game because of "receivers".    What we need is pressure up front from the d-line and a cleaner game by Zach.

Not sure that getting into a sprint to 50 points with Adams & Co is a good strategy. Giving Oliviera 25 touches to win is going to be tough as the Stamps can stack the box. Gotta have a credible passing game or else.

QB play and to an extent receivers...our group is even weaker now...so how does that effect ZC

I agree tho...our dline needs to be better...hopefully adding Person...maybe another piece next week and reducing snaps for some slugs may start to help

Calgary averaged 12.3 yards per completion. We averaged 6. In the cfl you need that atleast around 8-10. Calgary had 4 players with atleast 1 big play. We had 1 big ish play and it was from Brady. Brady was our 3rd leading wr. Schoen and wheatfall combined to go 5/13 for 55 yards. 
 I didn’t see zach missing guys in running open either. 
 

Zach needs to be better, the play call needs to be better, and the WRs need to be better. I think it starts and ends with hogan. We didn’t adjust to Calgary taking way the deep shot, or how they blanketed the under stuff. A lot of shallow flood concept and similar. Not much pa, seam busters, timing routes, etc.

We need to force some bad decisions from vaj. That isn’t gonna happen if he’s un disrupted, un pressured and facing a predictable game plan. 
 

Lawson and adams can create disruption. I’d love to see them on the field with person for some reps. Put em with either end, preferably who ever is more fresh.

we definately got out schemed and didnt make any adjustments....and with who we running out tonight I not sure what to expect.....we had a good 2 weeks to prepare and saw more film on CGY...So lets see if we figured things out...or if its just good ol status quo pounding square pegs in round holes

We lost as a team so that includes the receiving core.

on a positive not...stoked that person gets on...hopefully he gets a lot of snaps to get into the flow of a CFL game...not 4 or 5 snaps while the usual slugs eat up reps......and safe to say I am shocked as all hell Osh made the actual move

If what we’ve seen continues, in a month at the latest we should promote Jackson. Don’t need to fire or demote hogan in title, Jackson could become the offensive QC. 
 I’m pulling for hogan, but right now he seems far off being ready for all that OC entails. 

If Person isn't taking 1/3 of Willie's reps right from the get-go I'll be really disappointed.

Need to get Willie rolling and that means fewer reps.  He's awful when he's playing 90%.

Vaughters has more motor, he can handle reps in all situations and kick inside more regularly.
