If I'm an Edmonton fan, he does not give me a ton of hope as someone who knows how to create younger fans and families. This just seems like someone with a ton of money and didn't know what to do with it.

Kind of got talked into stepping up sounds like to me.

Might not be super interested in all the necessary work and operational losses a few years down the line.

Have people already forgotten the old man that bought the Als then dropped dead within a few months?  Left the team to his idiot son-in-law Gary Stern who convinced him to buy the team in the first place and who was consequently restricted by the shareholders from involvement with the team.  I think within 6 months the Als were back under CFL control.
