well the IOC has announced that the 2032 games will be going back to Australia, this time it'll be in Brisbane

Head of the Tokyo Olympics has put is out there that they may cancel the games if there is a massive spike in cases in the coming days

That's quite early. Normally they don't pick host cities until about 7-8 years before.

I still can't wrap my brain around this. Shut the most of the world down for the better part of a year and then some, then have Olympics in a country with an insanely low vaccine uptake. 

And Team Canada has it's first Medal of the games, it's silver in the Women's 4x100m freestyle but it's a start

Well nobody was catching Australia in that one, so nothing wrong with the Silver.

No interest in these games. Totally selfish move by the IOC & completely irresponsible to hold them. Don't plan on watching even a minute.

I'm thinking they would have been better off banning non-vac competitors instead of kicking out the double vac'd testing +.

Yeah I had no interest... and then I turned some on and I'm hooked. I am just a sports junkie and will watch any sporting event.

Well no matter how we do in this olympics we need to remember that we have the Winter Olympics coming up in a little more than 6 months...how is China's COVID situation right now?

I hate CBC, have for many years and will always. The transitions in triathlon are some of the most exciting parts as a bad one can be disaster. Did they show the bike to run transitions? Nope, largest pack in Oly history all headed in together, let’s cut to commercial and do another athlete profile of someone competing another day and totally ignore 2 men competing RFN Live…

 

(Yes, it has been a couple hours, took the fam for ice cream and I am still pissed about it. )
