They are just interested in interviews him and Rick Tochett. 

Jets have reportedly interviewed Trotz Vincent Arniel and Spencer Carberry now that leafs are out. One of those guys will be coach.  One could be future coach and assistant if Trotz is hired also. They reportedly would like to speak to lalonde from Tampa also...

The vote does not signal an approval of the arena, but opens the door for further study and public input on the nearly $2 billion project.

The meeting was held after the city issued a request for proposal almost a year ago for a sports and entertainment district at a 46-acre site that is currently a dump. Another wrinkle to the location is that it falls near the end of a runway at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The airport authorities, who also made a presentation at the meeting, were adamant that any proposal should not proceed if it included residential development, due to noise hazard.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman spoke remotely and promised the new arena would be given both an All-Star Game and the NHL Draft if built. Bettman also said that the Coyotes would not be allowed to move for 30 years.

The Coyotes have already made arrangements to play for at least the next three seasons at the 4,700-seat Arizona State University arena, beginning this fall.

Baffling how much ******* leeway this franchise continues to get despite its continued lack of profitability over nearly three decades.

There are a lot of owners, like in Seattle, who are probably quite upset. This team should be in Houston, making money and contributing to the revenue sharing. 

Having spent time in Phoenix, nobody there cares about that team. Cardinals, yes/ Suns, yes. ASU, yes. Hockey, nope.

It's been almost 30 years. 

But it's warm and one of the biggest markets in the USA so they will get chance after chance. Houston tho is bigger and warm also most times

Worst NHL franchise ever, certainly since 1979.

Ppl ***** about bettman but if his bosses didn't want Arizona around they wouldn't be. His bosses include Mark Chipman btw. Gary works for the owners. If the 31 nhl team owners(not including the Arizona owner)didn't want Arizona to stay they would be In Houston tomorrow.

Arizona Coyotes have not made 1 thin dime since they moved there, their TV ratings don't exist and the people that go to the Arena in Glendale generally cheer for the visiting team, but the NHL just won't give up as long as their are cities in Arizona willing to spend monies to keep the team there.
