He needed to show up this camp and did not. He'll get a chance elsewhere but not on this team if he was not the #2 LW then he was wasted. He's shown the talent at times but again only on a top 2 line.

Harkins has 3 to 5 good games a season where you go... maybe you got something here. Then hes non existent the other 60 to 70 games he plays and you go maybe he's not and the cycle repeats. Not a bottom 6 guy, doesn't pk or powerplay.  Not a top 6 guy on this team... I could see Arizona giving him a shot but that's probably about it.

I don't think you will be using it much if any. This guy is here to sit in the press box and be a 4th line forechecking monster. He can also pk. Keep in mind arniel was with the caps

Who does and does not have to clear waivers has a lot to do with it.

Absolutely.  It’s a huge factor.

Jets haven't officially announced the roster yet. Some folks think it's due to a possible trade that hasn't gone through yet
