I'm starting this thread as a side discussion of all things Corona Virus related. I understand that this is going to be discussed in almost all other topic threads but we could collect news and other items here. 

 

At work, many conferences have been cancelled.

NBA - Suspended.

NHL - About to be suspended. 

NCAA March Madness - Playing - no crowd. 

 

Political Rallies have been cancelled. 

Travel bans. 

 

Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks tested positive. They're in Australia where testing is available. If they were in the US, they wouldn't have been tested.

All 3 of my events have been cancelled. I don't know what I'm going to do. I am in full on panic mode for money concerns as I have big bills that need to be paid to keep the ship moving.

If it goes into the summer, well that will be the end for my business. Anxiety through the roof

I went to Safeway today...  TP and Lysol of course is out.   What's funny though of the food items they were only really low on Potato Chips and Frozen Pizza lol.   Store wasn't all that busy... they only had 2 cashiers open and the lines were only 2 deep.    Quite the contrast from that Superstore video where the line was wrapped around the whole store. 

My wife was all worried and I had no issues getting everything on our grocery list.  Lots of dairy , produce, meats and frozen food.

You’re asking a lot there. The Chinese government seems to have a lot on their shoulders with the spread of this virus, and Trump is gonna be blamed for something, wether he does something good or bad. So doubt politics will be kept out of this thread.

I’m not really gonna get political, but I was just making a statement. He will get blamed for tons of things, good, bad. Same goes to Trudeau.

So far he’s being blamed for everything he deserves to be blamed for.  Even today he comes out and says everything is fine. Medical expert then comes out and says “the worse is yet to come”.

?? I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve blame. Of course he does. My post was in response to Brandon saying try and keep trump/politics out. I really don’t know what you are trying to get at here. 

yeah, there is a very lively discussion about the U.S. federal government's corona response and responsibilities in the U.S. Politics thread if folks want to check that out.

 

I think we can blame all the governments for not shutting down international travel after the Wuhan situation became known. But its all moot now and we have to try to work and fight this together no sense blaming its too late.

Well, I think I'm officially cancelling my trip back to MB. All I wanted was a nice relaxing week off to fish for my 40th bday. What a ******* mess the world is in now. 

Not sure if it’s official but the word going around is Alberta schools are done for the year.
