The Dallas Stars have fired Jim Montgomery due to unprofessional conduct.

I like how people are being held accountable for being inexcusable jerkfaces. Hopefully the days of using stupid aggressive psychological and/or physical fear tactics to get someone to produce better are over.

i do however hope we find a balance so we don't get into a situation where a jerkface player can be in a better position to throw a coach under the bus when it's not warranted.

This is my biggest concern right now. An over correction would be even worse.

Did you watch the Don Cherry movie? Shore put a noose around a goalie's neck and tied it to the crossbar, so he'd hang himself if he didn't stay on his feet.

I've read that story in other places too, so I believe it.

Hes been here a long time. Comes a point where every team moves on from the coach. Hes had a good run here but its probably time for a new voice in the room.

Pretty tough to lobby for a new coach with the jets playing well above expectations this year.  Sure Helle yadda yadda.  Still they’re doing very well.  
 

rumour was Maurice deal was up this year. If so it would be a story that he hasn’t signed a new deal.
