Sanchez was a dirty player and some of us with longer memories recall his cheap shots against various Bombers including Milt.

  • That's why the CFL should be 1 division instead of East/West. Eskimos miss the playoffs @ 9-9. Hammy gets a home playoff game at 8-10. Single division - Stamps and Riders get a bye.

Nelson looks intriguing as a Returner/WR. Nice catch by Simonise, excited to see what the future hold for him. Kudos to Lankford on his job kicking. I've lambasted the kid enough, felt I needed to giv

A chance for Big Chris to pad his stats.....

Per the Bomber game preview:

https://www.bluebombers.com/2018/11/02/game-preview-wpg-edm-3/

Players to watch: #84 Ryan Lankford, WR: He’s established himself as a receiver and returner in parts of four years in the CFL.

Why on Earth would we be starting Lankford in this game? Missed opportunity to give some of our younger (future) players some much needed experience in a regular season CFL game that is otherwise meaningless. Am I missing something here?

Maybe he is right up there as an injury replacement during the playoffs so they want him to get some reps (?)

I'm not so sure we actually see that much of Lankford today. He isn't listed as a starter on the depth chart at least.  I would think they would want to get a closer look at Charles Nelson on returns. I guess we'll see.

I am excited to see our Canadians today- going to be great to see the depth and the future of this team.

Lankford has, has he? Not.

Sure hope so.

Lankford should have been released in TC. Looking forward to seeing Streveler, Nelson, Simonise etc.

Medlcok is not dressed, Lankford will be handling the kicking duties.

Imagine a bomber win today with this line up....... what's the furthest FG Lankford has ever kicked,  is there even a record of it lol

Sad that Lankford is kicking.  At least bring someone in off the street who might kick in a meaningful game, ideally a young Canadian.

Maybe O'Shea is making a point to some of the fans who want Lankford gone..... O'Shea is gonna show those fans today how valuable Lankford actually is.

Or .........he is just making sure he takes absolutely zero chances today on getting Medlock injured.

This makes a lot more sense, I always forget he's our backup punter.

Lots of players can play multiple positions, just don't see it in professional leagues much anymore. Randall Cunningham (NFL QB) even had 20 punts in his career for the Eagles - he even had a 91 yard punt (longest in Eagles history) once.

It's protecting Medlock.  Would be nice to use the opportunity to see someone who might actually be a CFL kicker, especially since we might be auditioning guys next season too.

Why would they sit Medlock?  Is he injured?   Makes no sense to me.

No, but why risk it? It's still football, which is a very violent game, even if kickers (mostly) manage to stay away from it.

I assume Medlock is doing the kicking and Lankford will handle the punting duties.

Why the heck not? Playoff games often come down to the kicking game making the difference and this is really a nothing game to the Bombers although the Eskies are dressing all their starters, at least to start. Might as well give Medlock the day off.

Medlock is not dressed.

I see the need to protect our starters but we really should field a lineup that gives us a chance to win.

Lankford has a strong leg

Why? Both clubs know this game is meaningless, it doesn't even affect how we finish in the standings. This game, and its results are nothing more than a formality.

All games are meaningful.   I'd hate to get blown out entering the playoffs.

Playoff games are meaningful absolutely, that said I'm just going to have to agree to disagree at this point - I don't want to hijack this thread with such a menial argument.

I say keep Lankford relegated to kick duties.  He's better at that than he is at being a receiver.
