No rider fans are trying to say he is a elite qb. No one is making excuses for how he is playing. He isn't crying about getting boo'd. Look in the mirror if you want to see delusional fans making excuses for a overpaid qb

Riders and Bombers will both be on the free agent market looking for a QB next season.

Bet Reilly, BLM and Harris are all making over half a million next season.

Hard to see Reilly and BLM moving teams. Harris maybe?

Yeah, okay Prider. You, your team & your fanbase is so cocky even after your qb poops a turd at home. Why not spend time with your kind on Priderfans? Why come here? You need to worry about the poor qb play of all of your qbs  instead of always talking about  ours.

They'll have a ton of leverage.  Pretty horrible year for QB's around the league and they are all free agents.  They are the only legit starters.

I'd take Harris as I know the other 2 aren't going anywhere.

Will be interesting.  I agree likely Reilly or Mitchell don't move, but the other teams needing someone will up their dollars to stay where they are

2013 - Reilly has never done anything, not worth two 2nd round picks.... 

2013 - Pierce is leaner and stronger than ever... no WAY he'll get injured this year

2014 - Collaros is unproven, too much money, who needs him

2014 - glad we didn't get Burris, he's an over-rated arrogant jerk - washed up

2014 - what a deal we got on this amazing Sask backup QB... Drew Willy - go Willypeg!!!

2015 - Willy played great in the last part of the season... we don't need an experienced backup

2016 - Harris has never done anything/over-rated, too expensive... we have Matt Nichols, don't need him

That's picks to have 2 weeks to negotiate with Reilly.

Oh I would take any of those QBs. I personally don't think Reilly and BLM will switch teams. Harris I could see and he would be a nice addition.

But yeah, it would have really sucked to miss out on Kris Robertson and Jesse Briggs for a shot at Mike Reilly

Those 2nd round picks that BC got didn't amount to anything.

Reilly wasn't going much further east of the Rockies.  He's from Kalispell.  His dad drives to every home game.  BC allowed Edmonton to negotiate with Reilly and made the trade when the deal was reached.  This was well-known.  Sure you could burn picks and hope I guess.  The guy had no interest in being here.

Edmonton got to negotiate with Reilly before trading Winnipeg didn't, that should tell you everything you need to know about the chances of actually getting him back then.

We never played the Riders last night yet you keep talking about Nichols on this thread when your qb clearly sucks just as bad. How many overthrows, missed targets & picks did he have last night?

The Lions & Esks made a secret deal. The Esks would have known they could sign Reilly. So, the trade was made.

Why?  Perfectly fine for a team to give permission to negotiate with one of their pending free agents to another team for trade purposes.  Also fine for teams to give player and agent permission to negotiate with other teams to facilitate a trade.

I remember this argument... it was the 'why even try' years...

There was no 'secret deal' - Hervey was aggressive and was likely the one who offered picks...

Then Sleepy Joe just sold it to the fanbase that 'we had no chance'...

A first round pick - contingent on Reilly signing - would have closed that deal

But as if we could have given up Andy Mulumba for Mike Reilly.
