I wonder if Laine wants to sneak in a quick hat trick just to cheese off Matthews fans

The third line is the only good thing to talk about. 

I'm already dreading the post game list of excuses and cliches

maurice will look extra serious and thoughtful tonite

well there is no denying that the jets should have done better tonight and that record streak of wins in the first game of the season finished tonight

You’re right. The improvement was remarkable. 

That was fugly and so was Trouba -4.

Didn't see any veteran leadership tonight and a distinct lack of role players, lots of one way players, I don't think Maurice can do anything with this bunch but hope to score 5 or 6 a night and hope for the best.

Maurice is 7 or 8 losses away from being the career leader in coaching losses. Passive pk. Garbage PP.. Stays to the outside always and nobody in front of the net... Lowry with over 20 minutes TOI to lead the team..morrissey with under 8. 4th line around 6. 

Coaching. 100 point talent...70 point coaching. Meet in the middle at 85 and miss the playoffs again. Our bottom 6 has zero scoring ability. 

I agree about the 3rd and 4th lines, probably the worst in the league and no ability to fill roles, like winning face offs or killing penalties, just a dreadful job of building a team (Chevy).

Its on the coach. Petan sitting is on maurice. Connor on the moose is on maurice. Tanev is on maurice. This team has tons of talent but is held back by a coach who has no clue. 

Lets just say it like this.. 2 options here 

When the entire team collectively sucks ass is it... 

A. Because every player just sucked ass 

Or 

B. The Coach is bad. 

Hint: its B

Connor on the Moose is on Connor. He was underwhelming in tc imo.

You'd like to see Connor on the 4th line rather than playing big minutes with the Moose?  Agree to disagree.

That's exactly the point... it hasn't ever improved- not since the 2014 season which now seems like a fluke

same problems were present all last season - Chevy fixed things by extending Maurice and bringing in mason and kulikov 

this is was a very scary game - worst I've seen in a long long time

Thats prob a good 3rd line. But why have 3 or 4 scoring lines when u can have 2. Id probably bump Perreault so Perreault Petan Dano and put Connor in the top 6 with speed guys.  Toronto had a 20 goal scorer on their 4th line btw.

I'd like to fly on a unicorn, but neither of these things will happen. The Jets 4th line won't see those minutes.

Morrissey had 8 minutes of ice time. Lowry had the most at over 20... Gonna ignore this and pretend this isnt coaching? @FrostyWinnipeg props for the Stulikov nickname.

Tough start but it's a long season. I'm seeing a lot of people jumping off a bridge on my twitter feed tonight. Just as it's not the time to plan a Leafs SC parade, it's not the time for Jets fans to want everyone fired/cut/traded....
