The distance isn't that bad ,  it's a 15 minute drive from downtown (I know because I did the drive a few times)  ,   it's the lack of anyone being a dedicated fan.   Everybody is a Leafs fan on the Ottawa side and a Habs fan on the Gatineau side.

In reality its 3 bus rides for most people. It is that bad.

The Senators still average over 16,400 per game, so that's a ridiculous comment. 93% capacity at Scotiabank Centre this season, which is basically the same percentage the Canucks are managing. Both cities clearly have dedicated NHL fans, though.

Enjoy!

The Penguins also picked up Penny Oleksiak's brother from the Stars

Penguins out of goalies again?

I trust that isn't the "shake-up" Rutherford was alluding to last week...?

Penguins acquire Jamie Oleksiak

Can NHL teams lend players to Oly's?

No

How about that Evander Kane... getting almost a point per game this season.   Has he finally matured into the player that many thought he would be?

Or could it possibly be that he is a UFA after the season?

You decide!

Yup....  Drew Stafford.

Well

well I guess this was probably inevitable, but since he's retiring from the NHL, maybe he's going back to the KHL.

So that's how many former Jets (2.0 era) have retired?

I'm surprised the guy wouldnt' want to coast as a 4th liner around the league making decent coin?

You don't think he's retiring to play in Olympics?

That's an interesting thought and could be possible

This is probably Burmi's only shot to be on the Olympic squad...  he'd never make the cut if NHL players were in - makes sense to give it a shot

Do the Russian athletes have to pay their own way?

According to his agent he is going back home so i'm guessing he'll be the caboose to team Lokomotiv.
