Game day thread: Ottawa QuarterBLACKS vs Bomber BYES

Game day thread: Ottawa QuarterBLACKS vs Bomber BYES

So we are all wondering what the defensive line is gonna look like but does it matter against a third string quarterback?

Time to shake off the rust from the bye week or shall we say the Bombers have all healed up from their little nicks. I doubt if they have forgotten how to play .... as much as the players may be chomping at the bit to get going,  I think we as fans are far more anxious than the players to see the game underway.

We are likely to see a defensive line that has 2 international defensive ends and one international defensive tackle. That means that Corney, Thomas and who knows who else will be platooning. I personally don't see many other changes. It will be interesting to see who gets the start, Knox or Santos Knox at linebacker. At safety Jones or Loffler ... maybe a little experimenting with where to put Loffler but probably not.

Other than that I think Michael O'Shea will be standing pat tonight - - and that feels like a habit - - if it ain't broke don't fix it.

We beat Hamilton by 27 points and Saskatchewan by 20 points. We're capable of putting the nail in the coffin..

  • Me, sitting at work, waiting for CJOB pre-game to start............

  • One guy who I don't think has been mentioned yet ... Alexander is quietly becoming very good. Had a great game tonight.

It looked like he hurt his hand on that sweep he ran.

Dear lord is Lindley terrible. The rain is actually helping the Redblacks, if it was sunny and +20 this game would be like 50-6

And if it wasn't in the bag already that throw to Adams is game over

Beauty pass

And that there on Campbell's challenge is what I mean by shoe on the other foot.

On another note, Davis showing he's got some skills.  Loved that deep throw.  No he doesn't have Franklin stock yet, but looks like he's progressing and may be able to operate the controls when called on.  Hopefully not for SSK though.

I will say though, he might be the homegrown QB we been looking for.

I'm starting to regret getting a Dressler jersey...

But what a game. It was nice to see us handily win a game we're supposed to easily  win.  I'm a little wet, and a little cold but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Bombers dominated.

Lindley suuuuuuuuucked.

Well, that there is an example of what happens when you roll with a raw QB and don't develop him first.

Tonight's award for impersonation of a qb goes to Ryan Lindley weather or no weather 1 of the worst performances I have witnessed of a starting qb.

On a big positive note, DL stepping up in place of Westerman and getting us kick-started.  Booyah

Not really. One sack and a couple of hurries against a mediocre O=line.

Ummmmm....isn't he a pickup from the Stamps?

I seem to recall Davis completed a 60 yd.+ TD throw to Washington in the pre-season, he can certainly heave the ball down field.

9-3 feels pretty good. Game in the rain could have given Ottawa the advantage but we controlled the game start to finish.

I just can't even tell you how badly I want a home playoff game so I can drive home from Alberta for it....we'll ******* ROCK the house....

So Jeffcoat's forced fumble doesn't count?

I liked how Davis ran out in front of Flanders and tried to block for him after the hand-off.  He totally just bounced off of some Ottawa guy.  I was surprised that Dunigan didn't make a comment as it was kind of funny.

He was there for a few months and let go pretty quickly, so it's been us doing the developing of him.
