slowly but surely we are turning under-utilized or completely un-utilized assets into serviceable contributors who can step in and make a difference.  I don't think this solves our O-Line woes but it sure helps.  Small steps to a longer goal.  Keep up the good work Kyle.

Honestly, Parenteau used to be terrible and I was quite against bringing him in when he was a FA last time, but he really stepped up his game in TO. Immediate improvement at RG for us.

Parenteau is a decent pickup at this point in the season... could easily step in for Sorenson...

Well, all I know is what I've seen. Our line is bad.

I personally don't know if Parenteau is an upgrade over what we have...but I can't see how he couldn't be.

Unfortunate to see Woodson go, but I guess being injured for the better part of your tenure here doesn't help the case for sticking around.

Because Toronto shuffled their ratio and no longer needed to start 4 NI OL plus they moved Van Zeyl inside and he's been a beast there.

No - I want to see Morley and a 6th round pick go to Edmonton for JC Sherritt and a second rounder.  Come on Walters make it happen!!

At this point with the OL any move should be seen as progress.

If nothing else, I look at it this way

 

I would've given a 5th rounder+Woodson for a 3rd rounder.

 

Parenteau coming along with the pick is a bonus with potential to make it a real win for us.

Works for both teams. Woodson has the potential to move into Andre Durie's roll if anything would happen to him.

Seeing Walters make these moves really hits home the burning question:  What the heck was Joe Mack doing all this time?

This should get Pencer onto the 42 man roster too.

And Mike, if thats the case, how do you feel about that starting O line?

The only reason my initial reaction is negative is because I think Woodson has potential to be a really good Canadian RB, maybe not a full time starter but certainly as a part time guy.  Maybe even a Andre Durie type RB-turned-SB.  I hate that we never gave him a chance to show what he can do on offence.  He comes with big injury concerns which is obviously something this team has seen enough of lately.  But we gave up a high-ceiling young Canadian for a veteran ham-and-egger and those are the deals that can come back and bite you if the young guy ends up becoming a big contributor.

This should get Pencer onto the 42 man roster too.

Assuming this is true, do you then keep Cauchy at safety, or throw an import there since you now have the flexibility to do so?

I think we've basically decided we aren't going to be using a NI running back... since we aren't we might as well not have 2 on the roster (especially one who can't stay healthy)
