Ah yes, the age old doomsayer approach to fandom... predict bad things will happen so one can say 'look how right I was all along', but if things turn out nice in the end you get to say 'well of cours

  • I've been saying exactly this for years now....these people are the bane of my existence. Just the absolute worst kind of "fans"...

  • My only regret is that you can only like a post once, because no truer words have been spoke on this forum. Edit: 1000 posts.  Yay me!

I wonder if Denmark is injured, or 'injured'

sounds like Keeping and Chungh might both be healthy, but for some reason, Neufeld is still practicing at RG.....

Odd.  Maybe Chungh isn't quite 100% and they want to make sure he's healthy for the playoffs?

and in doing so ensuring that Nichols won't be healthy for the playoffs.

this has to be it....

I have no issues with putting Gurley in for Denmark, that's good depth.

Ha!  Valid counterpoint.

and on the other side of the field:

Sure looks like QBs Brock Jensen and Danny O'Brien will play vs. #Bombers. Good bet receiver John Harris also in lineup. #Redblacks

Also, re: Bass being injured -- Bauming says Knox is getting the 1st team reps in his place. Also says Chungh is practicing but Neufeld getting the majority of the reps with the 1s...

It's day 1 I guess. If guys are injured even slightly they probably won't play.  Bombers ARE in the playoffs so if guys are nicked up... it's best to sit them. I bet Nichols doesn't play the whole game either.

My guess is Nichols does play the entire game, they're still fighting for home field.

They have a losing record at home.

BC won't be losing to Sask either so really we can pretend they are playing for a home game but in reality...

they want the revenue from hosting a game....no question Miller and Co are praying for a home playoff game.

I'm sure they are but that is out of their control now... they can win vs Ottawa and probably will... but sask beating bc seems pretty unlikely

Well, we're going to find out if Nichols and the team can rebound from what was possibly their worst outing of the year.

Not that their offense was anything spectacular last week but this should help us right the ship before playoffs.

So you're telling me there's a chance?!?!?

I'd seriously consider going after Jensen in the off season.  He has all the tools needed to be a very good cfl QB.

Which is what made the debacle of last game so bizarre.

Except that, as some of us have been saying, sometimes a backup comes in to a game, catches fire, and lights it up. If we go into this one thinking we're going to have an easy time of it we're ripe for getting beat, again.

I would hope that after the effort on Saturday that they would show some emotion and try to get back on track before the playoffs, so the QB on the other side should be irrelevant (to them).

As fans, we tend to get ahead of ourselves whenever a backup starts or comes in, but you never know what can happen especially with these young QB's. As Bomber fans we've seen Willy, Lulay and even Rocky freakin' Butler come in as unknowns and beat us so they shouldn't be feeling fat and sassy with a newb under center.
