That was a reckless rolling tackle by Corvey Irvin, IMHO. Takes out an excellent QB. Very unfortunate. But yeah, next man up. Brock Jensen. Could be interesting.

These low hits on the qb standing in the pocket unable to defend themselves should be automatic ejection, suspension & fines.

I was pretty skeptical about Ottawa's hiring of Desjardins 2.5 years ago.  I think more than a few here scoffed at the idea of giving him another chance as GM after the disaster in Hamilton ten years ago.  Looks like Hunt knew what he was doing when he hired him.

I was talking to an ex Bomber that is still rather involved with the team.

He told me they are very high on QB Bennett.

A good arm that he can also move around.

Good, throw him in and let's see what he's got.  Seems to work okay for other teams.

No changes at the qb position in the off season. That's all part of the problem with this team. They always stay static at the qb position. The guys come back & they're not pushed enough. I don't know if Davis can or can't play as he never gets the chance. Then we have some kind of emergency & it all blows up as we find out they can't play. How can a team be run like that?

Jensen would fall apart here as well... you can only do so much with a limited playbook...

I'm thinking our playbook may be limited because Drew Willy is the starter.
