One of the things I appreciate on this forum, no matter our differences of opinion, when things get way off topic and there is something that is in exceptionally bad taste they do not hesitate to lay down the law. That leg whip at the end was absolutely intentional he used the momentum to disguise it. In my opinion he has been coached up on these tactics at some level. You used to see these things being coached many years ago, thankfully most modern ethical coaches have gone away from this practice for the overall betterment of the game.

He did play with Odell Wills and Doug Brown though, so that was a huge advantage.

I noticed that, pretty lame. Especially when their gaming site updates points for fantasy immediately after each game is finished. I think CFL.ca is a league run site and that sure is a fail in my mind. To be successful in anything you have to do the little things right.

This article does make a lot of sense, Winnipegs D is top notch and expecting even an elite QB to challenge it with only 3 days practice was a stretch in the first place. Younger has this D dialled in and it’s going to take some impeccable play and a few mistakes for any offence to really shine here on in.

Both hits were intentionally high and those will cause violent injuries. Should be extreme penalties and ejections

Those are certainly a lot of positives that can lead to a second half resurgence and winning those back to back games is not out of the question. I also really like the offence now showing more ball control type of attack. With the real added threat of long explosion plays and a stingy defense that creates turnovers that could be a lethal combination.

Its one thing to miscall this on the field , umpire could have blinked or flinched and missed it for sure, but for the command center not to be able to make the correct call is totally inexcusable!

I finally watched that last play of the game (Shut it off with about 10 minutes remaining because at that point I new it was just going to be torturing myself). Really don't see anything wrong or dirty with that last Bighill hit as Patterson was fully intending to make a football play right to the end and you always teach your players to play to the whistle , which is what Bighill was doing. The mistake was on Sasks part with a 10 point lead not to give up that play earlier. Should be no correlation at all with Marinos dirty late hits. The hit was well within the rules and tho Sask fans may be upset no fine should be levied.

Just read the last couple of comments and totally agree from what I have seen it’s time forStreveler ,Olivera is our only weapon we need another in the backfield then our passing game may open up. Great way to test Strev

Down to my last strike so might as well go a wildcard who may not even see the field this week, but my hunch is the new coach will want to pull out all the stops and the Redblacks will see a healthy dose of Tre Ford at QB. If he gets any kind of a shot I think he will score. Tre Ford , Elks.

I really think most of this Elks team is pretty talented, but probably stopped giving it their all a few weeks ago. Time will tell, but next week if the Elks come up with a close win will say something. Lost to many close ones over the last couple of years.

Unfortunately his coach (Jones) threw Bede under the bus by making a point of blaming that decision completely on him. Not a great way to get people to work for you and give a little extra, probably one of the main reasons Elks tend to lose so many close games.

Well that sucks. Never want to see that. No matter what colors Hardrick is wearing, he’s just a real good dude and fun to watch.

Keys tonight 1) Don’t rush it be patient and take what Stamps D gives us 2) Limit mistakes (turnovers/penaltys) 3) No explosion plays on defence and force them into a ground game (but we need to win with the front seven) I feel good about this game and do think we will see a healthy dose of Strev . Don’t be surprised if he connects on a long ball tonight. This guy is the real thing and as a proper compliment to Zach will kill it!!!
