Tough part of developing QBs in the CFL. If they show anything in those first two years, half the league will be clamoring after them in FA. Meanwhile, Zach is in that phase of his career where you can see the end, but you're not sure how long it's going to be. Ultimately, I hope Dru gets his shot elsewhere, because it means Zach has stuck around for a few more years. I don't see why Dru would stay after next season if there wasn't an immediate path to a starting job. They're already at the top of their respective positions in a league with a management salary cap. If other teams can't offer them more money or more responsibility, why would they leave? Danny and Ted will continue to get opportunities for GM positions, but MOS and Walters aren't going anywhere.

Or for players to take that initiative.

The thing with TO and Montreal is, they do have their spike games where everything goes their way and they look like world beaters. Of course they also look like garbage a lot of the time too, but the inconsistency swings both ways.

What are you referring to when you say Buck’s peak? A random 3-4 game stretch between stints on the 6-game? Because at no point did he have a more successful season than any of KG’s.

Don’t run the ball as much. When you have 10 Carrie’s a game, it doesn’t leave much room to do stuff like that. Some teams would do better to commit to it though.

Coaching staff has sat him more than once during games. I'm obviously not aware of what his responsibilities are during games, but they clearly feel he's not meeting his assignments in some fashion.

Doug was the same. Working on conditioning drills off field every day and always hitting up the gym in addition to practices. I remember on Doug Browns radio show he used to do (was it with Steve Morley?) - it was the week of the 2011 Grey come and he was talking about being so pumped up he was going to do an additional weight training session that week, so he asked (Steve?) how many sessions he was going to do: Steve: Uhm, maybe 2? Doug: WHAT?!?! I normally do three. I'm going to do 4 this week.
