  1. Again, you let the player and the medical team go through the re-hab process. I do not believe at all that we will see Rourke. But I wouldn't force him to go home if the doctor's say he's ready to throw a ball to see how he will physically react.
  2. He did not have surgery. I just knew that he also had a lisfranc sprain. I take that it was much less severe.
  3. Najee Harris has been playing like crap, but he's been playing. EDIT: Harris did not require surgery, of course.
  4. I agree with those that have said it's a high risk/low reward strategy. If his dream is the NFL, he gets no benefit from coming back except a few game cheques. The CFL will welcome him back at any time.
  5. I think it's more protecting against injury.
  6. He took a couple of bad penalties in that game.
  7. He also can't stop the recovery process because people don't want him to rush... If this is the step of his rehab that he's up to, then he does it. Simple as that. And then of course the social media team does their thing with the footage.
  8. DA has weird takes a lot. I don’t think it’s indicative of the media voters at all.
  9. No idea who might get MOOL - could go to a Bomber as a legacy thing. MODP - Probably goes to a Calgary player. MOC - I think there'd be a strong push for Rourke - but Demski in the running
  10. Zach’s having a great season. Rourke was on pace for one of the best seasons in history. Had he stayed healthy and close to the pace he was on, he would have unanimously won every award he was eligible for. To suggest anything else is ridiculous homerism.
  11. Toronto's TV numbers are still good. And like it or not, those markets are important for sponsorship dollars. Attendance is reducing across all sports and TV numbers and sponsorships is what has to carry teams/leagues.
  12. Of course. I'm not the first to point this out - but Zach lost his MOP in 2015 because he only played 12 games.
  13. I mean, it has the same importance as it always did - tradition and guaranteeing the larger Eastern markets home games and play-off dates.
  14. The definitions around the awards are so loose. If you are simply asking who was the "most outstanding", it's easily Rourke. So each voter have to make up what limits and requirements around that makes sense to them.
  15. They have to discuss other candidates. But there's really no discussion.
  16. People mention it out of respect for what he did - and he does deserve to be mentioned, he was playing on a level I've never seen before and would be unanimous if he continued to play for 14+ games. But of course you need to show that you can do it for the better part of the season and he did not.
  17. Fair enough on that first bolded part, I just know he's taken interviews so there has to be some level of interest. As to the Mack thing....better check yo self before you wreck yo self.
  18. I have always liked the geographical rivalries. And it doesn't make any logical sense that it's always the East that is so bad, but it just always is. Not sure how to defend it anymore.
  19. They're getting the trial by fire treatment this year - next season I bet they're lights out all start candidates. There's no one else in the competition.
  20. I'd rather face BC or Calgary, but the play-off system doesn't work like that.
  21. Disagree, the problem is O'Day. He is the worst team building I can recall seeing. He has no sense of team culture - ignoring character concerns in favour of potential talent - but also assembles pieces that don't fit together while also ignoring team needs.
  22. Tough part of developing QBs in the CFL. If they show anything in those first two years, half the league will be clamoring after them in FA. Meanwhile, Zach is in that phase of his career where you can see the end, but you're not sure how long it's going to be. Ultimately, I hope Dru gets his shot elsewhere, because it means Zach has stuck around for a few more years. I don't see why Dru would stay after next season if there wasn't an immediate path to a starting job. They're already at the top of their respective positions in a league with a management salary cap. If other teams can't offer them more money or more responsibility, why would they leave? Danny and Ted will continue to get opportunities for GM positions, but MOS and Walters aren't going anywhere.
  23. Or for players to take that initiative.
  24. The thing with TO and Montreal is, they do have their spike games where everything goes their way and they look like world beaters. Of course they also look like garbage a lot of the time too, but the inconsistency swings both ways.
  25. We’re pre-gaming man. I’m on the park and ride from St. Vital Earls
