It's Corney's second year. He played far fewer reps as a rookie. This is getting painful. Stop now.

If Walters is going to continue trying to run a team without a psychic on staff, he must be held accountable!

Bombers vs Redblacks: Bomber Football Is Back Edition
mbrg replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's literally relevant for only the first play of the game. But having 17to 85 shout me down for the next 48 hours didn't really make it seem worth pointing that out. -
He will have to figure out what his job actually is. So far he seems to think it's to "be Rex Ryan". In fairness, Chris Collinsworth ruined me for all other colour commentators. He is pure gold at his job.
-
Oh, and there is no doubt that this will be continually re-shaped and misunderstood as a failure on the part of the Bombers.

Of course, that's the nature of the game. But the land is really vacant, not just politically vacant, so ... whatever. Politics suck. Let's go get pancakes.

I have some shelving from their old warehouse. Would you want to buy that instead? -
When it comes to a sport with short careers, non-guaranteed contracts, frequent injuries, and a league where a ratio makes Americans less valuable, I would be hard-pressed to tell a player who is two thousand miles away from home for 6 months, with outside pressures that are unknown to us and back to making practise roster money, that leaving the team is the wrong decision. He will get picked up (because there are so many terrible teams this year) and get a job, make more money, feed his family, and ultimately be proven that he made the right decision. Because he will have looked after himself and his own, in a sport where players are almost completely expendable.

No, I've just read your posts. It's fine, you are not required to like him. You can continue to shoehorn that into every thread; it's your opinion and you can have it. If I've ever offered a counter to that, it sure hasn't been recently. What would the point be? I was only pointing out that at this point it's a little too late to portray yourself as lady justice with a set of scales, carefully weighing all things OShea-ian with a blindfold of objectivity over your eyes. I'm still all for team Tracker.

This may be? As in you are still pretending to be undecided or in any way neutral on OShea? Hokey dokey Pokey.

They have been lining up DE's in the interior this year, so they might disagree with you. 3 on the line happens a few times a game now. I thought there was a play a few games ago where we had a 5 man line with all 4 DE's on the line and one DT. -

Which expression will the put on him? Hopefully scowling at import players who dare to ask for raises. That was my fave. Good choice, and nice to get a feel-good story today after the last 24. Also, LeFevour. -
GOOD GRIEF NANCY!!! Fine. I'm taking LeFevour*. *Now we're talking about him in 3 threads.

When it comes to being critical about stuff, Friesen beats most everyone. Also, re: Westerman - balls

Bombers vs Redblacks: Bomber Football Is Back Edition

Must have been a bye week. We're discussing our 3rd string QB in multiple threads. From what I've seen LeFevour has benefited from coming in off the bench and beating teams with his athleticism. Once teams prepare for him as the starter, he struggles to sustain it for multiple games. It seems like once he's expected to run the plays as called by the coach, his success drops off quickly. Just one mbrgs opinion, of course. -

On the heels of the Chambers trade, news today that Mike Jones is suspended for 2 games cuz drugs n stuff. So apparently teams get a fair bit of notice on these things, long enough to orchestrate trades to prepare. -

So we have a guy who is excellent at short yardage, best in the league by far, but he needs to be replaced by someone who probably isn't as good at it, because "development"? And anyone who thinks that the guy who comes in to play the rest of the game if Nichols gets injured is the backup, rather than the guy who comes in for short yardage downs, is "delusional"? Hmm, when I write it out like that, it just doesn't sound like something I'd vote for in the next election. -

It worked well at the start of the year because defences were not expecting it. Now they are. There are 7 or 8 plays that LeFevour could run in that package regularly and still keep defences guessing, but over the last few games it's strictly been running the read-option. They've gone from taking a package that caught defences unprepared to one where defences are prepared and added predictability to the playcalling. It could still work as well as it did in the beginning, but read-option to the left side has to be retired for a while. If only faking a read-option and throwing downfield had a chance we could catch teams cheating, but odds are that wrinkle just leads to a fumble and some dental work for LeFevour. -
Glenn injured his hand hitting a helmet during his throw. Helmets should be removed from the game immediately. - Rod Pederson
