  1. Not a fan. Too much money for a blend. I know some blends are really good -- in fact one of my favourite scotches is a blend-- however JW doesn't do it for me. If I want cheap blended scotch I prefer Dewars or Grants over JW red. If I spend some money I prefer a single malt from across the pond. The favourite (one of) I was talking about is St. Andrews. It comes in that golf ball shaped bottle. I had to get it just for the bottle, and it was AMAZING. I have two bottles now which I fill with cheap stuff to make my bar look cool!
  2. I wouldn't have. 2.5 is a lot for a 5th centre.
  3. We have Little, Scheifele, Perreault, and Slater with o'dell on the side. Legwand is not going to fit.
  4. Now you say "should" as opposed to before it was "can only." It does make a difference, people are pretty literal on a discussion board.
  5. Well that's simply not true. Nice positivity though! Explain. I'd love to hear your slant. I don't want to put words in anyones mouth but I think she means he could have worse games. All qbs no matter how great, have bad games. How can Willy not get better as a player if he continues to develop & get experience?Remember the "Joey! Joey! Joey!" chants?Well I don't know why I'm commenting, because I think Willy is going to be a very good QB for several years, but I'd be foolish to believe that there's no possibility he doesn't pan out.
  6. How about Aberlour? I've been through a few of those - very smooth. I'm a fan of Aberlour, not a fan if it's recent price hike though. My favourite scotch right now is Bowmore 12. It's got to be the best single malt for its price ($55.) I'm a huge fan of Islay scotches, love the smoke and it keeps you warm in the winter. In the summer a nice highland scotch is nice with its fruits tones. Glad there's some scotch drinkers on here, lookin forward to possibly trying some new suggested malts. I've got a small bottle of the bowmore and its a taste I'm still aquiring. Can you recomend any lighter Islays? I really like the Scappa when Iwas in scotland but they don't sell it at the LC here. I just picked up a bottle of the Macallam 12 (sherry not oak) and am very happy with it for only 60USD at Happy harry's Mcclellands Islay is a bit lighter than Bowmore. Mcclellands is neat (pun intended) because they have (well, use) distilleries all over Scotland to create a diverse collection. They have Islay, Highland, lowland, and speyside scotches, unfortunately we only get Islay and Highland here, (and I did NOT like their highland.) So I'd suggest trying Mcclellands Islay for a lighter tasting Islay, it's very well priced at around $40 for a single malt.
  7. I thought the Jets would win their first game based on their emotion too... Bombers 5 - Redblacks 1
  8. I look at it the other way. How do you prepare AS a team who has never played before? Bombers by 20.
  9. Sure, they can play a top six role for us if we decide to run a McDavid campaign. all three are legit top 6 players on most teams in the leagueRibiero is an idiot, who will be trending downward soon if not already, and Legwand... You might want to omit him from your statement.
  10. Kind of off topic, but it's all relevant, these Kane rumours are getting absolutely RIDICULOUS already. It's becoming an obsession.
  11. Sure, they can play a top six role for us if we decide to run a McDavid campaign. Why don't you think Vrbata is a good player? He's put up decent numbers the past three seasons while playing with guys who aren't known for their offensive accumen.Maybe you're right, he could possibly have a few good, productive years left if he's in the right situation as he enters his mid-30s. There's a lot of interest in him so we'd have to pay to find out. No. That's not what I meant. I meant guys who have been here a while, and not Lowry, Morrisey, among others who are often being referred to as young guys in our system who could potentially fill holes this year.Scheifele finished his development? Maybe my wording was a bit odd, but sheesh I didn't think id be perceived as an idiot!
  12. No. I'd bet close to 100% of picks would be QBs if we could.

  15. Maybe he means a top six forward for St. John's... We're going to be in tough this year, there's no way we keep pace unless some of our "older-youngsters" (Bogosian, Kane, Scheifele, a goalie) step up and become stars.
  16. Buff - Perreault - Frolik makes a nice third line, but that leaves us with 5 in our top 6. Chevy said he would like to add a top 6 fwd still, but I'm not sure who he's talking about unless he's got a trade percolating. If the price is right maybe Dany F***in' Heatley could fit... He's only 33, but his last two years have been BAD, not top 6 material.
  17. It's becoming more and more unlikely that Buffalo will be moving, so I don't think that will factor into determining the Argos' future. I must say that their situation concerns me as far as the health of the league goes. There is speculation of relocation within the surrounding area, but has there been any actual interest? I haven't found anything recently.
  18. Funny how you can't even pick Allen on the TSN fantasy page... I'll go with Andrew Harris this week.
  19. I contributed more to the Bombers than Poblah did last year. The money I spend on tickets and beer helps more than the money they paid that bum to drop balls.
  20. Aside from a few energetic tweets and interviews in the days after the deal, what else has he done exactly? He was the talk of the town when we hired him. He bought into the Bombers day one. IIRC he called FA's to sell the Bombers. He immediately assumed the vet leader role that we were completely lacking. He was considered our biggest pick up until Willy, even though Randle was the best DB we signed. I was/am expecting him to get a starting spot or at least DI. All of this means nothing. We need players who can make plays, you can't win a job because he was the talk of the town, because he bought in, because he assumed a role, because he was considered a big signing, or because it seemed like a good idea at the time.
  21. Romby should have some inside info on the Argos playbook. Nice timing for this considering we play the Argos tomorrow. The TJ Harris stunt!
