Good depth signing. I'd suspect he's here because stephan is injury prone and it's just a matter of time before he gets hurt. Norris will probably see the field sooner rather than later.

Is BANKS actually injured or is he on the 1 game cuz like others have said, he hasn't looked good at all and it's a way to keep him on the roster. I know suber is actually injured but Banks? I'm not convinced he is. We gave up a backup to a backup receiver for him, Banks probably won't last the season in blue n gold. Gonna go out on a limb here and say he is either traded or released. There is a date or week when veteran contracts are guaranteed right? is it week 10? 11?12? I'm not sure but, it wouldn't shock me to see banks sent packing by then.

Considering how little we used a running back as a receiver in the past few years, his hands of stone shouldn't be a big deal- as long as he hasn't contracted fumblitis. That was the past few years though, crowton aint here anymore, neither is lapo. What he did the last couple years is irrelevant. All you really have to do is watch the pre-season games, i think we saw more "screen" passes in those 2 pre-season games then we did all of last year.

We've been on the receiving end of too many fast shuffles between other teams (ie: Reilly, Collaros, Ray etc) to play nice. The other teams can go pleasure themselves. That's all well and good except for one thing ... we have first year Canadians on our practice roster too. If what another team has on their practice roster is significantly better than what we have, I say go for it. We've been eating dirt for too long- nice guys and all that. I don't think that's been the case at all, Joe Mack never really went after PR guys cuz he thought he could find better players on his own. You need a place to put these guys too, right now we don't have many openings if any actually.

The only thing tootoo has going for him is he's local, he can't score, he can't do anything, we already have a young tootoo in peluso, there is no need for tootoo, my guess is he would be a healthy scratch most nights. Tootoo brings very little. Winnik would be a good pick up, solid in both ends of the ice, Find it hard to believe he'd come here though as he might have a few other options out there. I think we should leave glenn out of this, i'd say compare willy to reilly and collaros, Glenn isn't a qb who will be around as long as those 3 could be, He's been around the block, Reilly willy and Collaros are the future, better to compare the future to the future instead of to the past really. Glenn coming here didn't really make sense for us, we need to find a qb who can be here for a long time, Willy could be that guy, Glenn would have been a stop gap, That is what he is essentially in BC cuz we all know when lulay is healthy, he is starting. Reilly,Willy,Collaros are the next big 3 QB's in this league, I'd just about wager anything on that. You got that top tier of QB's, Ray,Burris (he's 40 though) and Lulay (He's hurt) and I'm going to put Durant up there too. Then you got that up and coming group of Reilly,Collaros,Willy. I'm gonna go out on a limb here cuz thats where all the good fruit on the tree is anyway and say that those 3 guys are indeed the future, They are the ray burris and lulay/durant in a few years time.

I liked what the O did in the pre-season, they looked quite capable and actually according to the stats mike released earlier, had the most prolific offence in the pre-season, yes i understand it's pre-season but still, we moved the ball, didn't have one 2 and out vs Calgary. Etch? I agree with you, not sold but... guess we gotta give him a few weeks to see what happens.

I think BC and Edmonton are both very vulnerable, Not really sure how Edmonton improved this off season, They are seemingly worse than last year on paper. Sorenson was their big pick up. BC lost a ton of guys, have a bunch of pressure on them to keep the string of host cities winning the grey cup going. Glenn was a good pickup, He's a pretty good QB but again it's hard to say if they are any better than last season. Think the west is a 2 team fight for first (sask and calgary), 3rd i think is up for grabs.

Ridley says browning is a good fit for the CFL and judging by the video, it's hard to disagree with him. He looks to have all the skills needed to be a good CFL qb. Will he be? Only time will tell, probably won't see the field anytime soon. Not a fan of people who write guys off without seeing them play first.

Richardson must be very injured still, if he was a few years younger, i'd consider him. Sisco and Etienne? I'd look at both, not sure if i had to chose one, which one tho, both are intriguing. Sisco is kind of a bust though but maybe the pressure of playing for your hometown province is too much for some of these guys. Billy Peach? I'd take him immediately, Possibly Matt Vonk also. Not interested in any of the RB'S. we'd only need a RB for a couple of weeks anyways so that would be a hard sell to get any of these guys to sign here. Ottawa releasing Maher is surprising, They have no kickers, that is just weird. Unless they plan on picking up Schott.

Add in 5 or 6 blatant drops by bomber receivers and willy is well over 300 yards, might be closer to 400 yards. Pretty impressive numbers.

Love it, only in winnipeg or possibly regina but i doubt it would you have 3 pages or so talking about a quality control coach. You wouldn't see that anywhere else. Most other places would just ask what a quality control coach is and get the answer and that would be that. Good stuff.

Burris looked real good, however the first few series of the game when Montreal was blitzing like crazy, he looked awful, that oline there will be an issue for Ottawa. Montreal though? What the heck has happened, Were they really that good only because of Calvillo? Did AC really make that much of a difference? Got very bored watching the game, the ultra boring rod black and the very bland lapolice, honestly, i could see why lapo didn't really last as a head coach, I'm not sure how anyone could be motivated listening to him speak OK. True, Gott and what became the 4th overall pick in Antoine Pruneau. One could make the case that is an overpayment for 33 year old glenn and a retired marwan hage. On the flip side, one could also say that Marcel Desjardins actually made a good move, possibly the first good move he made as GM of the redblacks, the rest have been sort of head scratchers.

If willy gets hurt, i don't think i'd feel too comfortable with Brohm starting, On the flip side, i wouldn't have felt too comfortable with hall starting either so really, It's a wash. Yeah Hall had experience but like KBF said, it was losing experience, 1-8 as a starter doesn't exactly make me jump up and down and go oh boy we got a chance now, Cuz reality is, we probably wouldn't. I think he'll last the season. They pushed all the chips into the middle of the table with that scheme, in terms of the players they've recruited and the positional coaches, Martin, McDiarmid and Scheper are Etcheverry's coaching posse. Now that I think for a second, Jackson might be one of Etcheverry's guys too. Etch was head coach at ottawa, was jackson a member of his staff at that time?
