Bombers Opener June 24 ... (also Laine Day!)
Goalie replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Neufeld was owned tonight. Same old **** -
Willy was out of sync for 2.5 3 quarters tonight
-
Smith looked good when he was used properly.
-
The fumble on the perfect snap was when I had just about enough.

I'm not sure that Burris would be much better behind our oline. Oline is an issue. Bryant even look lost at times. Chungh potential. Goose potential. Hardrick looked bad. Neufeld sucks. Couture potential buy young. Rookie I'd try bond next game -

Walters has done a good job. He's improved our cdn depth for sure. McManus and company tho need to step up and find some better imports -

Gotta give Medlock some love for the 58 yard fg. With a backup holder at that. That was impressive -

They weren't letting up at all. Don't be ridiculous. They sent the house a ton in the second half also. So the entire 3rd and 4th was garbage time? Give me a break with that crap -

Willy looked better in the 3rd and 4th tho. Couple real nice throws. He struggled in the first half but once Harris got involved willy started to look better. Probably cuz he had more time to throw and go through his reads -

Think they are going to have to establish a run game first and then can go deep more. They didn't really do that until the third and that's when Montreal started to give up some yards. In the first quarter they need to run run run rum so the opposing D sits back more and then boom over the top. It's basic. Establish Harris. Do that and the O will be better. Willy didn't have much time in the first half but when he did he looked hesitant... much better in the second half tho but it was too late. The minute Harris started getting touches wad the minute the 0 looked more competent. Establish Harris first. Then you can go with the deep passes. Jace Davis had a nice game tho -
I'm fine with it. 22 and the 4th rounder tho would have been enough

What if it's the QB. Glenn has guys in his face too but he's taking the hit to make the play -

I'm sorry but this is on willy. No accuracy. Not attempting to go deep even when he does have time. -

I think this is more on the QB scared to get hit. Same in preseason -
It's a good pick but he probably would have been there at 22. I don't mind it but giving up 22 and 36 is not smart

Nichols at least attempts to go deep. Willy is gun shy -

Willy needs to be benched -
Chychrun might fall to 22 but Arizona at 20 seems likely if he's still there

So be it. I'm fine with Puljujarvi. He's very good. But I doubt that they take him.

Detroit Buffalo NYI Tampa and Toronto have all been linked to Stamkos. Minny has been talking to the NYR possibly about a Derrick Stepan for Jonas Brodin trade or plus their pick even. Minny is at an interesting place right now where they are kind of getting older quickly and don't have much in terms of prospects

I think warrior made peace with vince but I've heard lots of conflicting reports about him and hogan. Basically warrior avoided hogan and hogan did the same. Hogan is a world class grade A BS'r so anything he says... I wouldn't believe. He said he made peace with savage also but savages brother called that a load of crap saying hogan and macho didn't speak for years

I'll just say this and be done with this for now. If the Jets weren't gonna take Laine they would probably try and trade pick 2 to Columbus for pick 3 plus. Since it sounds like they aren't going to be doing that.... all signs point to Laine and much like the trouba trade speculation it's all just media bs trying to get hype and get ppl talking
-
No.

Jets don't need yet another right handed d man who is making 9 million a year. If there is deal to be made with Subban, It's Edmonton for sure. 4th and Yak doesn't get you a sniff, It's 4th and Draisaitl and it's a done deal from Montreal. That's apparently what they want. Yakupov has no value what so ever, his value is that of a late 2nd or early 3rd.

Yup. If they pick JP... it will be because of intangibles and things of that nature, i think overall he does have higher potential than Laine, Laine is a goal scorer, that's what he does but if he's not scoring goals, he's not doing much else... I think Laine is a huge boom or bust type of pick.... I think JP is safer, little less sexier but picking top 2, you want to make sure you get a player that has some upside, Laine has some, how much? it's hard to say, Puljujarvi has a ton... he really does. The guy broke some records of his own at the World Juniors and Under 18's at Grand Forks... With all this being said tho, still think they take Laine... Just not sure why anyone would be shocked if they took Puljujarvi instead...
