Without Bobby Hull Winnipeg probably doesn't have a pro hockey team in the first place. It's the jets hockey hall of fame... it's not retiring his number or naming the arena after him. Jets don't need Staal. Canes probably don't need myers either. Jets really like myers and Myers really likes Winnipeg. If a d man is dealt it will be enstrom because he's older and probably won't be signed at age 33 when his contract is up. Enstrom probably gets you a 1st and prospect. Perhaps Detroit or Boston would be interested

Mark Stuart was a first round pick when he was drafted. Trouba is worth more than Marincin, Marincin is a bottom pairing D man. Plus JVR isn't needed. If Trouba is gonna be traded, he won't be, but if he is, it will be a blockbuster for sure. It won't be for a bottom pairing D man, a 2nd and a guy who is UFA in 2 years.

And Ducky. I'd say no to both your trades. Doesn't do much to help the Jets or other teams involved. . If I was looking to move a d man right now... Enstrom would be the guy. Eventho he has a NMC... there are ways around that... he'd be the guy I'd be shopping.

If big if... the jets trade trouba you can pretty much better all your money that they would want a young expansion drafted exempt LHD. They won't trade him for a forward. If they did trouba would be in Colorado and Duchene or landeskog would be a Jet. Morrissey is also not trade bait. That's probably one of the most ridiculous things I've read on any hockey forum.

Regardless of what Bobby Hull did or didn't do b4 90 percent of today's fan base was around... for his on ice contributions he deserves to be recognized. I'm not old enough but even 20 years ago when I was a wee little one the world wasn't as PC as it is today. Is Bobby Hull a bad guy? Perhaps he was but perhaps getting older has changed the guy. I mean lots of athletes in their younger days were huge douches off the ice. Keith Tkachuk comes to mind. But with age he's chilled. I guess... what if the jets decided to honor Thomas Steen? How would people feel about that cuz he's been quite douchey after his career was over. But as a player like hull was one of the best to wear a jets jersey.

I'll just add this, I don't expect Drew Willy to be perfect, i don't care if he throws for 300 yards or 400 yards or 200 yards... It's irrelevant, but... what is concerning so far is his lack of accuracy on the deep ball, his lack of protecting the ball let's say in key situations, that interception in the third last night, that's a dumb throw... No justifying that one. It's just a bad dumb throw in to triple coverage. I think he might have potential still but... the more games that go by, the more i think perhaps that potential just isn't there anymore. Perhaps Drew Willy's best football has already been played. He looks like he's regressing to me and for a guy to be regressing but getting paid like an elite cfl starting QB, i'm not sure how anyone can justify his play. He's being paid 400,000. He's not playing like a 400,000 dollar QB tho. Not sure he's even playing like a 100,000 dollar QB.

I'll say this... Drew Willy is struggling but i feel he can still turn it around, Pavelec? nah, he's done for. That's actually not a fair comparison at all... Willy shows signs of being a good QB, Pavelec has had 5 or 6 years to show, he's well below NHL average in terms of numbers, save percentage and everything else. I'm just pointing out that i think Willy really struggled last game, i'm not oblivious to the other problems on the field, theres a few for sure but... one of the main ones is Willy can't throw a deep ball, he can't throw a pass 20 yards. He does get time to throw also, it's not like he's got guys in his face all game, he had time, he just didn't do anything with it. I will admit, i a fan of Drew WIlly, but... if this keeps up, i'm going to be losing my faith in him pretty soon. I was willing to give Willy 4 or 5 games to show that he's not shell shocked, that he can recover and become a good QB, but we will be going in to week 5 next week and so far, Willy hasn't been very good.

I was actually gonna use Pavelec as the example. Drew Willy right now is no different than Ondrej Pavelec, he is holding the team back. Only difference here tho is the Jets actually have a young guy in Hellebuyck who can take over. I'm not sure the bombers have a guy that's better than Drew Willy and upon further reflection, i don't think trading for a burris glenn or tate is a very good idea.

He's just the biggest problem on the team. The QB is the most important position on the team, he touches the ball every play the O is on the field... he is the biggest problem right now. By FAR.

Trying to defend Drew Willy for his piss poor performance this season is also a fools errand.

The so called "rebuild" won't be completed until we find a QB who can win some games. This team has tons of talent, they really do, they just lack a QB and it's pretty obvious that Drew Willy is not the solution anymore.
