Anyone blaming Hellebyuck for any of these goals need to recognize that our D outside of Buff and Morrissey are hanging him out to dry. Chiarot has been directly responsible for 2 goals. Myers for another.

Morrissey is more nhl ready than Chiarot melchiori strait and Stuart. I think he makes the team. If he doesn't. .. the decision making process needs to be questioned. Enstrom right now is our only legit nhl calibre lhd. Morrissey has looked the next best. If they take Chiarot or Melchiori or Strait over Morrissey.... I don't know what to say then.

Melchiori is an interesting player. I went to several moose games last year and he was a total dumpster fire on the ice every time. Only Kostalek and MacWilliam were worse. Then he gets called up to the Jets and the guy that looked like he wasn't even AHL calibre... well he disappeared and a capable 3rd pairing guy showed up. Odd case really. He can't really make a pass and can't really clear the zone butI don't think he's as awful as some think. I think Morrissey is much better... he can pass and clear the zone... that's important and I think Morrissey Buff would be a great pairing. I would then think myers enstrom makes the most sense with Postma and Stuart/Melchiori. I actually have been impressed with Melchiori more than Chiarot and Strait this pre season. I think he is also 3rd pairing at best.

Enstrom Morrissey are the only 2 lhd that are better than Stu. Chiarot has looked like crap

Thorburn is in the last year of his contract.... if they sign him to a new deal... I will lose some faith in Chevy. I don't think they will tho. I hope they don't. Stu? I get it... he's actually a pretty decent option as a 3rd pairing LHD but Thorburn? Regardless of being well liked... there's a bunch more players in the system who are just better at hockey. And that's all that matters. Thorburn is a nice guy... well liked for sure.... but I find it funny that people on what is basically a blue bomber site who rip on guys like Greg Peach or whoever else... would actually defend guys like thorburn and Stuart when really... they are the Greg Peach of the Jets. There are better options at forward than thorburn

It really means very little. Morrissey was also paired with Buff and Myers at practice today. But wow. If that is what they are thinking.... Lowry over Copp? Thorburn actually on the starting roster? Stu and Chiarot over Morrissey? And with the 1st overall pick in the 2017 draft the Winnipeg Jets select from The WHL Brandon Wheat Kings... Nolan Patrick

It's not about the top 6 anymore. Now a days you should be able to have at least 3 if not 4 lines that can score. Our top 3 LW this year will be 20 18 and 19 years old. Jets are young and being young means mistakes will happen. This is probably more of a building year than it is a competing for playoffs year. Few weeks ago I think @FrostyWinnipeg said LHD will be a problem and I disagreed with that but.... I think at this point... it is a problem. Without Trouba on the left.... yup... Enstrom Morrissey Stuart Chiarot. What happens if enstrom and Morrissey get injured. Trouble for sure. Big trouble

I'm sorry but Laine has been fine. He's adjusting to the north American rinks and is showing that he is not just some goal score . He's showing that he can play a defensively responsible game. Just saying but Kichton was sent down... put on waivers.... guess 1 game means nothing. Paul Maurice even says to not read in to pre season games that much.

I will add this and them be done with the Willy talk. Drew Willy needs to find himself mentally this off season. If he can actually do that he has a chance to turn things around. If not... he's done. But to me his issues seem mental. I'm not sure that you can fix that As for Reilly.... Reilly takes a beating... and played behind an arguably worse oline than Willy did his first year in Edmonton. Guess what... he got hurt. But he came back... he still takes a beating tho at times.... self inflicted or not... a big hit is a big hit. Reilly is just mentally stronger than Drew Willy

I'd take Gurley. Everyone else? They get a big meh from me. I like Gurley tho

So dead wrong about Laine. Laine is very strong defensively and that's been very noticeable and it's actually very rare for a 18 yr old kid to be that responsible defensively. Laine has been very good in his games. It's unfortunate that people like yourself think that if a guy isn't scoring he sucks. That's not how it works tho. Plus... time to put some actual perspective on this.... it's pre season. It means legit nothing. Lol at Laine to the Moose if he was just some walk on... not a chance. Your hockey knowledge seems to be lacking at times here. From the hellebuyck comments to the Morrissey comments and now Laine?

Every QB gets Sacked a bunch. Every QB gets hit. I'll bet he got hit a ton in college also. It's part of the game. Plus his injuries weren't exactly the result of getting Sacked or hit... it was the result of well..... basically just playing a sport. I mean it's one thing to say he's been hit or Sacked but to say that his injuries were a result of that? I dunno. That's like saying sasks oline was at fault for Durant getting hurt when he basically hurt it all by himself. His injuries were fluke injuries. I'm a Drew Willy fan but it's pretty obvious at this point to even me that perhaps Drew Willy just wasn't as good as people thought. Slow release combined with not very good at scrambling. Drew Willy just wasn't as good as some of us thought he was. The bombers actually gave him chance after chance to show he was a good QB but he never really rewarded them did he? Drew Willy screwed Drew Willy You know who gets hit more than Willy? Mike Reilly .... but he gets up and continues on. Drew Willy never could. He's just mentally weak and you can't be mentally weak as s QB.

Maybe Henoc only cares about money like most pro athletes do. Or maybe just maybe sask was the only team who was interested in his services. The Henoc Muamba from last year was not the same as the one who played for the bombers. I think he's regressed as a player. I think its because he's barely played any meaningful games the last couple years now

Jets are in the drivers seat and I guarantee you that there are lots of gms around the league hoping and praying that Chevy sticks it to overhardt. Let trouba sit. It's just millions of dollars he will never make up that he's missing out on. Let him sit until you trade him or he signs or Dec 1st rolls around.... Personally I kinda hope the jets don't move him and he sits the entire year

Who is anyone kidding really. Guys like thorburn Peluso strait Lowry Stuart pavelec etc will all be on the 23 man roster. It's just how it will be. I'd be surprised if 1 of those guys are sent down.

Others have stepped up in my opinion. But reality is my opinion and everyone else's is irrelevant so ya Lowry probably makes the team. I'd bet thorburn does also. Because Maurice. Bet that the dumpster fire Strait makes it also. Lipon Kichton Howden all on waivers so they have been sent down

Kichton won't make the team. He's good on the PP but horrible in his own zone and can't pass. Kichton is what you call a perfect ahl d man. He's not making the jets tho

Good god. Trouba is worth more than that by himself. Stop withthe fantasy trades or at least try to put some thought in it. With Philly .... unless sanheim or Provorov is involved nope and Lemieux ain't going anywhere yet if ever. Jets very high on him.

Dano was pretty solid this game and might be the 4th line LW with Copp. He's playing LW and that's where Maurice likes him. Connor will be on the third line with Perreault and either Burmi or Armia. Not sure who yet. I'd think Armia which would probably make the 4th line Dano Copp Burmi. Maurice likes Dano and singled Dano copp and Connor out in his post game scrum. Connor has played all pre season on a line with Perreault at Center and Connor on the left. Laine has played with Little all pre season. I think it goes like this to start Ehlers Scheif Wheeler Laine little Stafford Connor Perreault Armia Dano/Tanev Copp Burmi Thorburn and Lowry press box
