The team is quite different from when Blake was here, perhaps not player wise but mentally, they aren’t as soft. They haven’t given up like the Blake captained Jets did when down. I’ve met Blake multiple times, his daughter and mine were dance friends. He’s a good guy but again the mental makeup of the team is much improved

No issue with Schoen on IR to start. I’d rather he not reinjure himself in useless training camp. He knows the playbook. also gives opportunity for other guys to step up and make an impression like he did so no problem there. It’s not like RW JR is a sure thing. Need some receivers to step up cuz maybe there’s an opening or 2.

Schenn be slow AF so no problem with miller and fleury who played well together. Fleury in my opinion was an unsung hero in game 7. Lines appear optimized.

I half expected a lull after an exciting game 7 but outside the first 10 minutes and then rantannen in the 2nd for 5 minutes, jets were the better team. Deserved a better fate in my opinion. Thought the PP was fine, had lots of chances, oettinger was good tho. Some times you can be beaten In hockey by 1 or 2 guys, that’s what happened really. Rantannen and Oettinger was the difference. Honestly. Rantannen was cuz if he’s hurt we win 2 0.

I get the feeling Edmonton and Toronto lose their series and we win ours and yes I understand it’s 2 0 both series there and ours could be after tonight for Dallas.

Blues tried to destroy the jets physically Stars appear to want to play a more skilled game. But was getting chippy out there. Not as intense as game 1 vs Blues tho.

On to game 2, hopefully Josh is back soon cuz Rantanen is an elite player and Josh is an elite d man. When 1 guy goes beast mode and scores 6 goals in his last 2 games, what can you do. We don’t have a star like that.
