That was a very crappy game, als D got tired in the second half though, that's what happens when your O can't get a first down, they had like 8 of them through probably 3 quarters, didn't finish with much more. Als Suck, Esks don't scare me either, If they were playing a team who could actually get a first down, they would have lost. Reilly IS going to get hurt one time, it's only a matter of time. ESKs trending downwards, 5-0 vs the east, yet nobody mentions that when talking about Edmonton.

Paris Cotton moved to practice roster
Goalie replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Could just be due to injuries, he wasn't dressing the last few games anyway so why not put a couple other guys on the reserve list instead, guys that might help out a bit more.. Maybe both Booker Mosely and Pall get on the 46 man this week, one will probably sit though. -

Tell me whose stat line for the season this is... 11 for 37 7 for 26 18 for 138 12 for 72 8 for 38 15 for 70 6 for 29 6 for 11 6 for 14 If you were to guess, Andrew Harris, you would be correct. One of the best RB's in the league at that... One good game, a bunch of duds. -

Issue for me is that If Grigsby gets hurt, next man up is Volny. He's an ok game day back up but I wouldn't want him starting. Probably not but... gotta see what happens the next week or so, I'm betting with both Cotton and Bolton released, we will see another back brought in unless they feel Stoudemire or McGuffie can be that guy and the obe position on the field that you should be able to start someone new under crazy circumstances and probably not see a huge drop off is the running back position. Sask went with Allen,Charles,Ford,Messam.. yeah CFL experience for the most part but... pretty much changed their back for a while there game to game and didn't see any drop off in play really. -

True. He only leads the league in TDS, yards from scrimmage and hasn't fumbled all year but besides that.. only has a 6.8 yard average per carry his last 40 carries too but other than that. -

Honestly, doesn't surprise me, The times we have seen him, he has not looked that good. Some people on the forum here will flip out cuz he was their boy but... Gets a big meh from me really. Hasn't dressed the last little while either, Looked good in pre-season but so did a bunch of guys who are no longer with their teams. -
Some people have to much of a hate for the Riders, I don't really like them but honestly, if the bombers can't win, hell, why not the riders. Some of you seem to have some major agendas with the riders for some reason, people talking about how classless their fans are, isn't it classless to talk about how classless another teams fans are tho? Not a rider fan but... If the bombers can't win, why not the riders? for as much as some may not want to admit, bomber and rider fans are very very similar, we are brothers really, we are the small market teams. People can crap on Regina all they want, whatever but reality is, it's not that much different than Winnipeg really. Cheer for the small market team that draws 30,000 out to games consistently or the larger market teams who barely get 25000. Give me the small market teams. And this whole, rider fans are obnoxious, sure they are.. just like some bomber fans are too. Those people are few and far between though. At the Edmonton game earlier this year, leaving at the end, group of 3 or 4 bomber fans went up to Eddie Steels family and gave them the middle finger and screaming FU in their faces... So classy though for sure.

There is nothing Walters can really do right now though, we play saturday, our bye week isn't until next week. Can't bring a guy off the streets today and have him play 2 days from now. During the bye week, sure, exhaust all your options but reality is right now today thursday, we gotta go with what we got. The one thing i'll say, and it sucks to lose Zach but... BC's oline is awful, probably the worst in the league, it might not hurt us this week as much as it could have other weeks.

What you do see sometimes is that if a team is "eliminated" from the play-offs, that GM might look to make a trade. This year though is different, for as pathetic as the East has been, reality (maybe not actual reality) is they all still have a chance to host a play-off game. Nobody is out of the play-off picture right now. The West? well, we all know how that works, It's likely a team with a winning record or at least .500 record misses the play-offs completely.

Top 10 CIS prospects for 2015 CFL draft
Goalie replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
That's always your solution, trade a guy and a Canadian this time? We lack Canadian depth, why do you want to trade it? Seriously and besides what makes you think we could get a top 3 pick anyway, You eliminate the guys with NFL aspirations and both Groulx and Demski are gone 1,2 probably. Right now if the season ended we'd pick 5th... Ottawa, Hamilton,Montreal, Toronto,Winnipeg. We won't be trading up, that's for sure. Ottawa? need canadian help across the board Hamilton? Good bet they go OLINE. Montreal? Your guess is as good as mine, Receiver would make the most sense. Demski makes sense here assuming Ottawa don't take him first overall. Toronto? Again your guess is as a good as mine Trade Watson and then when one of JFG or Kohlert go down? then what? trade for Watson? We don't have the depth to be trading our Canadian starters right now. Put in Carter cuz he's from Winnipeg? He's done nothing. Renaud? done nothing. The National depth at receiver looks good right now, why would you make it weaker by trading Watson? You trade Watson and that pretty good National receiver depth don't look so good any more. -
That's a huge loss, No to mainor and Griggs, they are defensive ends as is mcadoo isn't he? Enough Recycling guys really.. Gilmore might make some sense, Keron Williams too but.. i doubt those guys could step in immediately. Gotta go with what we have right now and during the bye week, perhaps talk to Hamilton about a trade. They have lots and lots of DL.

Pierre Pall and Mary... This is the legendary stuff

Dad? Is that you? Because I feel like you just took everything from my last post, agreed with it but somehow reworded it to make it seem like we're arguing... Was just a general observation, didn't use any quotes there LOL. But maybe we should contact Guiness book of world records to make sure because it's probably the first time in human history where dad is probably 20 or more years younger than his son.

It's not just the bombers, the media here tends to over exaggerate and make something out of nothing for just about everything, Don't matter if its the Jets and Blake Wheeler talking about Evander Kane, Don't matter if it's about Elections and who to vote for, It's just about everything. You know what, They call Winnipeg a fish bowl and to an extent i suppose we are but in a greater extent and perhaps the truth, The media makes us to be a fish bowl. It's at the point where i don't even pay much attention to what any one in our media says, They all have their agendas, there are good guys out there though who can hopefully change things, guys like Bauming and to a lesser extent Penton, but he works for the sun and the sun has a huge agenda to push and at times, Penton pushes that agenda too. Eventually though, one of 2 things will happen, some younger media people will come along and push out the bad or newspapers and print media will go out of business. Less and less people get the papers every day. I used to work for one of the paper companies, the free press, worked at their call centre, yup and most the calls i received, 8 out of 10 calls for sure were people wanting to cancel their subscriptions. That was probably 7 years ago now but... I'd imagine it hasn't gotten any better.

I think injuries play a role in some guys playing or being forced to play, with Moore out, Romby comes in. JFG is still on the roster tho. He just gets less snaps. Would i live to see him get more? Sure but... Like i said, with Moore injured. Kuale? well, Wild is hurt right now, there does seem to be some loyalty to him, guess maybe its lack of depth, maybe its the fact that maybe just maybe he's not as terrible as some make him out to be or maybe its because it's passed the veteran cut down date and if we released him, we'd be paying him for not playing. The other thing is, for as many stupid penalties as Kuale takes, or let's say took vs SASK, it was a missed block on a fg that cost us that game. Even with all the penalties, a missed block on a fg cost us that game. No doubt MB and Etch have some say but.. I think at this point in time, we are stuck with who we have. Not because we aren't trying to get better but because like many others have said, there isn't some CFL all star sitting on the sidelines right now, and if there is, he's probably not willing to give up his NFL aspirations just yet. I'LL be more concerned if in the off-season we don't find a replacement for Kuale and Bryant.

I like bauming but... that seems to be the key words there

There are not a lot of teams in this league that have the Oline to eviscerate our defensive scheme. Saskatchewan is one of them. We have a defence that matches up pretty well against 75% of the teams we will face. I could even argue that our defence matched up pretty well against Saskatchewan. Their offence scored 6 points the first time we faced them; 13 points last Sunday. 19 points in 2 games in the CFL. If our offence put up something that putrid we'd be losing our minds over it. Taking a step back and looking at our defence in the big picture, I see no reason at all to blow anything up. We've made our share of mistakes and can be better. We will need to be better. But I understand what OShea is saying when he says this is not a problem. Specifically to Kromah and Kuale, I didn't see Kromah do anything on Sunday that screamed this is the man for the job. He was adequate, not much more. Kuale, well considering this defence is based on speed, I don't see what his qualifications are for the job. He's not particularly fast, not in CFL terms. He's a kill shot artist more than anything, and that's not what we need right now. In a traditional 4-3, having RBs get funneled into his lane and blown up might be fun to watch. That's just not what we are this year. All good points. All noted, Kromah did have a forced fumble though. But for the most part, I agree with you here. Definitely correct when you say we match up with with 75 percent of the teams in the league, That's very true and true enough about the only allowing 19 defensive points in 2 games.

I'm pretty sure he stripped Sunseri on the QB sneak. There it is, That's the one. YUP. So, he did make a pretty good impact there. Just cuz he didn't have 1000 tackles didn't mean he didn't play well was my point
-
What would SASK have to send back... 1st RD pick, a qb (so likely Sunseri), a receiver( Taj Smith probably).. Does that get it done? Or does SASK have to add. I think SASK would have to give up too much to get Burris.
-
Kromah was actually the player that caused one of the fumbles by the riders in the game, punched the ball out, recovered by sherman i believe or dunn but pretty positive Kromah had a forced fumble last game. Looked good to me when he was in, Not sure why people expect this Defence to have a dominant MLB, it's not set up that way, Linebackers are basically put in to positions to fail for the most part in the ETCH D. We aren't gonna have a MLB with 100 tackles, not while Etch is around. Be great to have a Bighill or Elomimian but reality is, Not gonna happen.
-
Why would sask trade for Burris. That makes no sense really, sure receivers in ottawa are part of the problem but IMO, the bigger problem is Burris. He looks like he's done, He's not very accurate, He's not really a leader, I think he's Ottawas biggest problem right now. Say what you will but the guy hasn't thrown a touchdown at home and his players look uninspired when he is on the field, Sure it was garbage time, whatever that is, but Demarco a few weeks back scored an offensive touchdown, Something Buriss hasn't done at home all year. When Demarco came in a few weeks back, the players seemed inspired. Not so much with Hank at the controls.

Max Power's HOT TAKE of the day: Welcome to Morning Big Green
Goalie replied to max power's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Think what makes this site my go to site for talking football is the fact that other teams fans come in here at times, not that other sites don't have that also but i tend to find the other sites have more trolls. I don't mind duressler, he seems to know his stuff, people can crap on him all they want but hey man, 14 years old, Think what you were like that at that age, I know i wasn't as respectful as he is. Don't care for the other guy too much after he came on here and basically crapped on everything bombers but.. I get it, It's all good. It's nice to hear other teams perspectives, Not that it really matters what any of them think, but it's just nice to have a wide range of people on here. 14 year olds to probably 65 year olds. Pretty good stuff. I'll take 10 duresslers over one road griller any day of the week. -
Iso is probably having an anuerysm right now. I'd be surprised to see him post in the next few days

There was at least two illegal blocks on the Stoudemire return if one wants to play that game. Could make the argument that it wasn't called cuz stoudemire is a former rider
