I agree that you can never have too many good centres... but keep in mind Connor is a centre... and Little and Scheifle are still pretty darn good players... then there's Lowry, Copp and a few other prospects for the bottom 6... so while Matthews would be a fantastic addition, I am very happy adding a high scoring, top line winger...

You're right, there is plenty of interesting info in there... it's just surrounded by so much "Lapo is so great" and "everyone is so happy and excited to be here"... I wish he would tone it down on the unabashed optimism and keep it more information based... just my opinion...

I love optimism as much as the next guy.... but these DC pieces are getting to be too much... enough talk, let's prove it on the field...

I would be more excited about this if Ed was covering the Bombers full time for an independent source... while I look forward to reading his opinion/editorials, you have to imagine his bias will be towards the team...

The top 4 on that list all have a shot at being drafted in the NFL... if not drafted, I think they'll sign as UDFAs.... I wish they would expand the list to top 30 or 40, cuz this is really a top 15 when you take out NFL prospects...

I like the idea of getting the goal posts out of the way... but with a 20 yard end zone, it just won't happen.... basically eliminates the kicking game...

I was also at the mini camp this morning... IMO There wasn't really anything noteworthy... the new additions, Smith, Harris and Dressler all looked pretty good, as expected... they're playing against no D so hard to get a good read... I did notice Dressler playing at the WR spot and Smith in the slot.... likely just experimentation but it could be that they're trying to reduce Dressler's punishment... FWIW this was today's "starting line up"... OL: Bryant - Lawrence Martin - Goossen - Chungh - Neufeld WR: Dressler - Smith - Ernest Smith - Adams - Kohlert QB: Willy (shocker alert!) RB: Harris (Lochard took some reps with the first team)

I don't see anything wrong with it... he was the head coach of the defending champs... kinda similar to Brandon Saad (Columbus) and Johnny Oduya (Dallas) joining the Blackhawks at the white house this year...

I'd probably argue the secondary is the strength of this team... and that's not an indictment of how bad the team is overall... IMO our secondary would be a strength on most teams in the league...

I think most people agree with that... this thread went off the rails when one poster suggested the only appropriate answer to a question about Drew Willy's health and what he can do it help should be ripping the o-line...

keeping in mind that DBs in the CFL are rarely over 6' also... having short receivers is not as major of a disadvantage as some make it out to be...

I had no problem with Calgary, Edm or Hamilton... but there was really nothing to them... they were basically a slight variation to their regular jerseys.... I also really hate football jerseys that throw the logo on the front though... numbers go on the front of the jersey, logo on the shoulders...

It must vary depending on where you are... in my area: Liberal: if it wasn't for one bus bench, I wouldn't even know there was a Lib candidate in my area... PC: one visit a few months ago and a few pamphlets... NDP: I've spoken to the MLA Rep personally, his wife a few times and probably received about 4 or 5 robo calls (which I've never answered), and countless pamphlets...

I hope that's true... maybe it made the CFL/Bombers realize what an abomination those "signature" jerseys were (with BC and IMO Mtl being the exception)...
