I agree, O'Shea can criticize specific aspects of the team without naming names when they under-perform instead of deflecting as he does. I like Chamblin's no-nonsense approach with fans, players and media alike, he is brutally honest, straight forward and doesn't throw players under the bus. He does bench players though so he makes clear there are consequences for poor play. If you watched the RR/Stamps game after he pulled Doege, Chamblin had a face to face with him from about 6" embracing him with his hands on his shoulder and helmet as he would a son. He wasn't yelling at him but actually speaking directly to him though words and his eyes. To me that shows ultimate accountability. Isn't chamblin also the guy that bans the media from attending practices? you think that would fly here? LOL. For every good that one coach on another team does, there are equally as bad things he does and if he was coaching here, the fans would rip him a new one too. Maybe worse even, Chamblins coaching pretty much lead the riders to lose a few games earlier in the season they shouldn't have also and you can even say that not playing sunseri the entire game vs calgary was a coaching mistake. The kid looked good that game. What if he played the entire game? Perhaps sask would have won? I wasn't comparing coaching results just different styles of communication.

I agree with the highlighted part of your post. I think O'Shea sees himself as one of the guys so it's going to be hard for him to send his buddies down the road with an apple when they under-perform. O'Shea has the "Daddy complex" and I'm not sure his personality is tough enough to morph into becoming the villain of his own children.

Lawless: Bombers need to sign Ben Heenan

Do we have anyone we'd be willing to trade who could fetch us anything close to a first? Willy might get them a first rounder. -
I noticed no Good/Bad separation here. Not surprised. Total brain cramp by MOS on the 3rd and 5. He said in the post game interview he didn't think Lirim could kick a FG into the wind like that. Okay seems like a decent answer only one thing missing - we have a punter, his name his Lirim. I've seen a lot of games in my lifetime and I would not put the wind in this one in the top 100. Was it that bad he could not punt the ball? Maybe a handfull of games have punters been told to not punt due to wind. Stunningly bad decision on O'Shea's part. On what does he base his faith the Bomber O can gamble on 3rd and 5 and succeed? Is it they're precision in the redzone or their 2-point conversion success rate of 0-52!

GDT - Winnipeg @ Ottawa RedBlacks - 6:00pm CST

Etch doesn't need to be fired, O'Shea just has to put his foot on his throat until he sees the light. Etch has done a number of good things, he's built a great D-backfield and he's done well developing Natl. talent. His D is designed to swarm to the ball and this approach works great when the Bombers have a comfortable lead or when playing against a team without a good running attack. Unfortunately the Bombers never have a lead and every other team is now game planning to run the ball straight up his yazoo! -
Isn't that a tweet from 2 or 3 weeks ago?

GC halftime act announced: Imagine Dragons

I dunno, I personally don't associate the average parka clad Grey Cup goer with cutting edge cool even if it plays out under a dome. I've been to 4 of the frosty parties and can't do better than resurrecting Trooper for one more kick at the can before they kick the bucket. "We're here for a good time".....you fookin bet we are and Justin Bieber is shiiiite! -

With a little bit more sober second thought I bet O'Shea sticks with the coordinators he's got next year. Unless there is friction behind the scenes that we know nothing about can't see him turfing any of "his guys". He defends his players to the nth degree so I don't see him taking a different approach with his coaching staff. Doubt the discussion will even be raised in the off-season but if it was this is what he might say. "We're on track and making incremental progress, team improved significantly this season and will continue to do so next year." -
Projector in Willy's helmet that projects the play on Morley's butt?

Surprised Kromah would be taken out with no backup for Kuale, seems to me Sears and Unamba are redundant as they're backing up the same positions. Knapp continues to fall further down the depth chart, not looking good for his chances next season.

At this point of the season why would Edm. want to help the RR and potentially lose out on a home playoff game and all those $$$?

If the ORBs give up on Burris it's a colossal admission of a mistake in signing him as the franchise player and Desjardin is never going to admit that even on the day he's fired. unless they can replace Burris with a better QB getting rid of him makes no sense whatsoever and diminishes their chances of improvement in the future. The Ottawa games are still selling out so they've got some leeway to improve the team. They do need to organize a major airlift of American talent and I would be surprised if that already isn't under way.

O'Shea heated in CJOB post game interview

Three wars back we called Sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and we called liberty cabbage "super slaw" and back then a suitcase was known as a "Swedish lunchbox." Of course, nobody knew that but me. Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling. LOL Nonetheless you still need yer nap. -

There's a lot of talent in Saskie. Probably more than any other town in Canada. Including the doctors. Welcome Rod. We've been waiting for you to join this forum for along time.
