  2. Depends on the audience. Those stubble jumpers couldn't make the leap to "Smith and Weston", lot's of head scratching and blank stares all around. Hard enough to restrain them from bringing their shotguns to the stadium to keep them from taking pot shots at Gainer.
  3. I'd think if it is down to the Stamps or the Bombers, Dressler would be paying a visit for some face to face with Walters. Any sightings of short guys at the airport?
  4. It would kill rampant speculation on football forums and diminish the fun not having any facts adds to the debate. Bad for business in a sense.
  5. Pity, this video is so short. Hope they make an extended dance version soon.
  6. Moron could have gotten out easily if he would have used gravity and backed down the hill instead of trying to fight up it.
  7. You also have to consider the enhanced marketing opportunities of acquiring a "marquee name" like Dressler. Wade Miller is looking for a bone that he can sell to the masses.
  8. Maybe waiting for Henoc to finalize the details of a cross-country tour???
  9. True, but he never really grew up much.
  10. You make a very good point. The rookie players that pick up the nuances of the CFL quickly may not turn out to be the best players in the long-run but they demonstrate that they're the smartest rookies in camp within a very short time frame. Slow learners need not apply.
  11. Hopefully Walters holds his ground and doesn't fall for any of Dressler's agents shenanigans. Signing him would be great but not at any cost.
  12. Good god man, come to your senses. She's 50 something and has had 6 children! She's held together by a raft of infrastructure designed by the Army Corps of Engineers to look good in one dimension on a flat screen. The only nailing I'd like to do to her is to hammer the last nail in her coffin.
  13. I believe the Riders already had to pay Durant a $150,000 bonus for this season, there was no way to avoid it as he was injured and can't be cut.
  14. This is scarily similar to something you might see parodied on the Simpsons.
  15. The skating rink in front of Toronto City Hall is artificially refrigerated ice.
  16. Bombers signed somebody named Ricky Collins 3 weeks ago. How much excitement can your heart handle? Yahoooowahhhhhaaaahahaahaaaaaaaazzzz.....
  17. I'm really hoping that Jones does his thing and moves on within 2-3 years leaving Riderville completely unfulfilled.
  18. This is good for a chuckle.
  19. The reality is that a healthy Drew Willy will make almost any receiver look good, I would rather the Bombers put most of their F.A. spending into positions that will keep Willy healthy and positions that will endanger the health of opposing QB's.
  20. As it should be, I bet Jones and Murphy spent less than 10 seconds making that decision. Finding a good Intl. receiver with size shouldn't be as hard as finding the Arc of the Covenant.
  21. Dressler will be 31 in June, Smith is 24 and will come cheaper, he has many years of football left to prove himself, Dressler has may be two. Seriously if Walters goes after either of these guys he's already dealing in the land of desperation. I'm quite certain nowhere in his strategic game plan will you find a note that say "acquire 5'6" 165 lb receiver".
  22. I'd honestly prefer a bigger receiver but given the choice I'd take Smith over Dressler for his upside.
  23. If the Bombers let Moore walk and waffle on Dressler, than it's a given that Walters has been having clandestine meetings with Ryan Smith in a corn field outside of Emerson.
  24. One thing that I thought would benefit the Bombers having Wylie on staff is that with all of his experience and US football connections he would be a reliable conduit for bringing in Import O-linemen when needed. No evidence that ever happened. I know the O-line performed poorly, just not sure who deserves most of the blame for that.
