I don't follow soccer at all but I heard on the radio recently that 3 Toronto F.C. players were earning in the range of $5 million each per year, it turns out to be very true. TV ratings compared to the CFL are quite low with around 100,000 fans tuning in to watch a game on a good night, gate receipts in relatively small stadiums wouldn't generate near enough revenue either. Anyone know how the economics work in M.L.S. to allow them to pay those kinds of salaries? Upon further investigation I found this list of published salaries. Toronto FC player salaries for 2017 Toronto FC player salaries for 2017, as released by the MLS Players Union, as of April 15, 2017. Sounds like John White will be pursuing F.A. and this could be the reason.
-
Sorry Mr. Etcheverry we are not accepting job applications at this time, good luck with your future endeavours.

With Hervey as the new GM in BC the purse strings are going to loosen, Wally might have wanted to cheap out on Manny's renegotiation but Ed is the guy that put up the big bucks to keep Bowman in Edm. so he's not afraid to spend Braley's money. Sadly Braley will no longer be able to afford that nose hair trimmer he desperately needs.

Edmonton did pretty well acquiring Mason Woods in this deal, highly regarded O-line prospect in the 2017 draft even though he didn't show very well in the Combine he could prove to be a solid pick up down the line. Another giant for their O-line.
-
Yep, he's a F.A.. Unless they intend to move Santos to MLB which I think there is potential, I can't really see the need for Wild as a rotational player.
-
With Santos-Knox in the house, Walters will have a hard time justifying Wild's pay cheque.
-
I don't think he has re-signed yet, do you have a link?

LaPo was hired Dec. 07/15. Nichols became the starting QB game 6 of 2016 after Willy started the season 1-4. I believe it was LaPo that identified the problem and pushed for the change to be made, so in a way he saved his own ass and possibly that of O'Shea as well.

Don't get me started on McDonalds, I hate their food to start with but these "now you see it, now you don't" menu boards almost drive me crazy, especially when trying to place an order for an entire hockey team of 6 year olds.

In the defense of all coach's that step into a difficult situation, look at the personnel that Etch was given to work with. It's inevitable that they can't turn it around in the year or two that they're given when the team is inept on both sides of the ball. Fair warning to any HC picking up the reins in Mtl.

Spent two weeks in the Yucatan exploring a few years back based out of a straw hut on the beach in Tulum, avoided Cancun like the plague that it is. The Tulum ruins are small and picturesque but easily covered in an hour or two, Chichen Itza is the real deal and will consume an entire day, amazing site. Be sure to watch Mel Gibson's Apocalypto before you go. If you want to spend time in a real Mexican city visit Merida for a day or two which will give you a non-tourist perspective of life in Mexico. Merida also puts you within reach of Uxmal which is another amazing Mayan site. Fantastic area for snorkeling, I'd highly recommend the Xel-Ha water park which is a freshwater inlet just north of Tulum on the coast, amazing fish habitat. Also liked Playa del Carmen and Cozumel for a day or two each.

They also took the effort to stick White and LB Jones on the I.R. before the season ended so it looks like they should be back for TC. The roster no longer shows I.R. players so I'm not sure how that works technically, both Westerman and Adams are listed on the roster, so I don't know.
-
They want Thorpe back all they need to do is call his agent, he'll be a F.A. soon.
-
Hall tried to resign last year due to poor health, if his health issues haven't improved or have actually gotten worse I can't see him having the stamina to coach another year.
-
Hall or Burke? I'm confused.

Ray extending his career by even one year makes it rather difficult for the Argos to go after Franklin for the following reasons. 1. Unless they give Ray a haircut (...and how can they?) the Argos won't have the SMS resources to win the bidding war that's likely to occur. 2. Franklin probably doesn't want to spend another year sitting behind an established #1 QB, although with Ray's injury history he'd likely end up with a substantial amount of game time.

Strange that Wally will stay on another year as coach, sensed he was fed up when the players did not respond to his methods.
-
With the decision coming this quickly, I'm thinking the opposite.
-
Without the fumble and TD return there would be no reason to throw deep to the E.Z. into double coverage, Mitchell could have just knelt instead.

Unless Ottawa is going all in on Franklin or pursuing Collaros, I can't see them letting Harris walk away.
