I think if Bridge was given a full season it would look a lot like the one that Jonathan Jennings just turned in. A couple more years experience and that might improve once he learns to play a structured game but only if he has the aptitude to do so.
-
Blech, hard to imagine he's here for under $200k. Value for money, not.
-
Yah, I'm thinking he couldn't love his brother nearly enough to make ending his career with the Als a worthwhile experience. Montreal is a great city but everything associated with the Als is near or at the bottom of the league. Success is nowhere in sight, roster is in shambles, management is clueless and their facilities are probably the worst in the league.

He has potential and he would fit in well as a reliable option on 3rd down gambles.
-
He's a beast, hope we see him in TC. https://www.hudl.com/video/2/15709/586fff03b018fd2b8810bf47

Both Bridge and Adams are prone to disgruntlement, Jones commitment to Collaros will refuel the QB carousel.
-
Have to applaud Glenn's career, he is an extremely motivated individual to continue his career as long as he has, playing for so many different teams and absorbing so much rejection. Most QB's would have thrown in the towel and moved on with their lives after a decade or so but Glenn just keeps chasing the dream.

I tend to agree with your assessment of Neufeld but I'm willing to wait and see how it all plays out. Just happy they have Foketi in reserve because they just might need him.

Davis played most of the last game in 2015 losing to the Argos 21-11, he went 16/25 for 64.0% 169 yds 0 TD 0 Int. He didn't accomplish much but he didn't look too badly out of place either.

I don't remember Speller, how did they pick him up and when?
-
Until a backup QB is given a significant amount of playing time due to injury of the starter, it's really hard to tell if they are progressing or not. 3 full games with first team practice reps. is a decent indication of their potential.

We don't know and neither do the Bombers!
-
You're right, I was thinking of Logan. Same problem, different position.
-
Sutton is 36, which is ancient for a RB, how hard could it be to replace him with a younger and cheaper RB? Somebody needs to take the job of building up a football team seriously in Montreal.
-
If he wasn't happy with what Mtl. just offered, I doubt he'd be happy with what the Bombers will offer him as a backup. Dude just can't read the writing on the wall.

Apparently that was an erroneous date, they are still negotiating. Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 19h19 hours ago It has been inaccurately reported that Darian Durant’s bonus is due Jan. 15.

Everything you said is true to an extent but I will add that for the most part they enjoy much richer social and family lives than most N. Americans, perhaps because they have little else, lower expectations and are not addicted to electronic technology or our manic productivity goals. I spent a month in Bolivia with a class mate in the 90's who was financially set well above the mean but had plenty of family and friends who were not and they shared common characteristics, misery was not one of them that I ever picked up on. It didn't matter what day of the week it was and whether they had to work the next day or not, every night was dedicated to socializing (not just drinking) in some form or other and a night sitting on the couch surfing the tube in off-mode was never considered reasonable entertainment, no matter how exhausted I was. They absolutely have more fun than we do and after that trip I couldn't help but think our society is the one to be pitied for programming it's citizens to perform like worker-bot automotons striving for unachievable goals in the delusion that they will somehow bring us more success, more possessions and with them greater happiness. The movie "About Schmidt" with Jack Nicholson summarizes this futility a lot better than I can.........sopped as I am I think I might be channeling Buddha.

With a little help from the CIA this one can be pinned on Richie Hall.
-
I don't think there is a receiver in the league worth $200,000, I'd set the upper limit for that position at $175,000. I'd also reset the clock on QB salaries and make the max payout $350,000 so there could be more money for other players. If they don't like it they can find another pro football league to play in.

Hard to determine with all of the injuries they suffered.
-
Not that important, if he comes to WPG. his main priority should be familiarizing himself with the bench way off in the far corner of the field and how it feels to be glued to his ass. Doesn't say much about this regime's ability to scout and recruit QB prospects if after 4 years all we have to look forward to is the possibility of acquiring Glenn or Durant. Wherefore art though Danny Mac?
-
The real issue is money, the rest is just rationalization for moving on from him. If Randle is earning $140k or more and Heath is earning less than $100k, I can understand him wanting to cash in, he's paid his dues and has earned his pay day.

Here is Walters interview with Naylor. https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/mountainside-chats-with-dave-naylor-kyle-walters~1299746

Reed missed out on Collaros, I doubt he has a realistic shot at acquiring Manziel and now he's playing hardball with Durant without any other starting QB option in sight if you dismiss Drew Willy. It doesn't seem possible but Kavis has maneuvered the Als into a worse position now than they were one year ago at this time.

It looks like league meetings now underway in Banff, Naylor appears to be interviewing all GM's. Good stuff.
