Need to play JFG from here on in, not sure if he's been injured or what but he's a great secondary outlet when nobody else is open.

The last Bomber victory against the Esks. was an impressive performance seeing as a lot of their injured players had returned, D shut down Reilly in the first half completely and held him to 31/46 on the night. O responded each time the Esks. scored in the second half and Chris Randle sealed the victory with a timely pick off. Edm. has had trouble containing the Harris/Flanders combo. this season so hopefully that trend continues.

Win the G.C. this year or not, it appears the team has pulled itself up to the next level and can consistently post 12 win seasons and play competitive, entertaining football against any team in the league. If they can repeat that performance next season and make it three in a row in the top echelon I'll be satisfied with their progress. The playoffs often come down to a crap shoot of weather conditions, injuries and teams getting hot at the right time, but as long as they're in the mix every year, you can't ask for much more. Any one of Wpg., Edm. Cgy or T.O. has a reasonable chance to win the G.C. this year if they are capable of playing their best.

One did, apparently there was a shootout and he may have fatally wounded the suspect. Details to come. No laws were put in motion after the Las Vegas shooting to cut down on assault rifles, so this is just business as usual and will be quickly forgotten in the Land of the Free.

I'm convinced Wally is going to follow through on his retirement plans this year, he made public comments a few times recently that the players in that locker room are not focused on the task at hand nor buying into the team concept. I think it's 50/50 whether Nichols will recover in time for the playoffs. If O'Shea likes Davis's potential, he'll bring him back next year, no matter what happens the rest of the way.

I think LeFevour is mentally tougher than Davis and should give the Bombers a better chance of winning against a depleted Stamps team, if LaPo allows him to play his game.

Just re-watched the first half and thought the DL and the LB's played a very decent half of football, including Hurl. It occurs to me that Hall's strategy for this game was to pressure Jennings into making bad throws as he's been inaccurate all season, except it didn't really work as Jennings was still completing passes with defenders all over him, kudos to Jennings. Coverage on the back-end was loose as they were bringing the house on almost every play and the DB's weren't getting much help from the LB's underneath. Still two of the TD's BC scored in the first half were from broken coverage by the Walker/Porter/Alexander combo, so players are still messing up assignments in week 19, hard to fault Hall for that. Not sure why they kept Porter around all season as he doesn't have the physical abilities of Alexander, Walker or Frederick imo. I'm not a glutton for punishment so I think I'll skip reviewing the second half.

The fact that O'Shea has announced Nichols is not starting this early in the week makes me very suspicious, he never announces anything, ever.
