  1. I thought first half, the Marve run threat eased pressure on O line, he had more time to throw than willie or brohm last game. then later in the game, pressure increased.

don't know if that was cause Toronto realized he was not running in second half.

Well it did look like TO made some adjustments and was focusing on contain with Marve.
  2. People keep complaining about Picard & want to see Goosen. Even with all the injuries on the OL he doesn't get playing time. Sukh Chung has played every down this year & he's a rookie. Goosen has been here nearly 2 seasons now & can't start. Nah, keep him on the bench as he's not ready.

The fact that the Bombers signed Picard should tell you all you need to know. They obviously don't think Goosen can do the job yet (ever??) or they wouldn't have spent the money on a vet.
Yeah but this is the same coaching staff that has let Brohm stay as backup for over a year when clearly Marve is a better player so don't give up on Goosen yet.
  3. Ok is anybody from the media gonna ask MOS y he insists in making our lineup weaker with 8 Cnd? I think Marve would rather get 4 imp Recievers to throw to no?

Big assumption there is that we have 4 healthy import receivers who are better than the NI's. We don't. Also the "starting" 8 NI's doesn't limit how they use the imports at all.
Well if we don't dress the import cause we are going to play 8 can then I'm not sure you understand the argument.Last week we were going to go with 4 imports when Moore was gonna dress but instead of dressing jhomo Gordon when Moore couldn't play we went back to 3 imp Rev 2 Cnd get it?BTW if you think dressing jfg over veltung is the way to go not much more I can say to ya really.
The Bombers are playing the maximum number of imports allowed. Starting 8 Canadians doesn't change that. I don't prefer JFG to Veltung, but I prefer him to Jhomo Gordon, who is a project to put it mildly. Having Jhomo Gordon on the roster last week wouldn't have made a lick of difference. I feel bad for you if you truly are just judging CFL players by their passports. Gordon was terrible in both preseason games. Hopefully he's learned how to run his routes and read the defense to get open and on the same page as his QB in the last couple months.
Well MOS is playing Jhomo instead of going with Jfg and Kohler as starters with another can as a backup. So your liking Jfg over jhomo is not seen by the Blue coaches.I like Jfg but his speed doesn't scare anyone.

  5. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming

Mike O'Shea says the #Bombers offence will indeed look different with Robert Marve at the helm—simply because they have differing skillsets.

I do agree, Brohm and Marve have differing skillsets all right.

This is kind of a scary comment. Did MOS just figure this out and y wasn't this different skillset used more often when the status quo wasn't working.I for one hope Marve lights it up and shows all the haters what's what including MOS Jk just squeak out a win baby..☺

How is this a scary comment. This is a typical MOS comment that is just a thinly disguised sneer at a dumb question. It you find this scary then you are really looking for crap.
Yeah your right just lookin for crap

  7. Sometimes it's just easier to admit that we lost to a better team. We aren't as good as the ticats. It's that simple. But 28 points I believe were off turnovers so you can say we killed ourselves. People blaming coaches always to me screams never played a team sport ever. Coaches coach. Players play however with that said I do think our OC is part of the problem

Yep gotta agree with this turnovers killed us.No way MOS replaces his OC didn't replace his DC last year till the offseason just not that kind of coach will ride it out no matter what.Game we gotta just put behind us.If it get us rid of Brohm its all good
  8. I only watched parts of that Ticat Argo game but... from what I saw, it looked like the argos shot themselves in the feet quite a bit, they outgained the ticats, they might have even out played the ticats but didn't look the same as they did the past few weeks. I guess playing several games on the road in a row takes its toll on a team and i think that's what happened here. Thought the argos played way better than the ticats as a whole tho, just had too many mistakes.

I think that one goof on the special teams where they let hammy run it in on a onside punt killed them.
  9. The thing I don't get is how Cato leapfrogged Bridge. Higgins cut Cato and kept Bridge but suddenly it was Cato starting. Cato must have had a heck of a great practice that week...

Bridge didn't look good at all. Not capable of being a starting CFL qb. I guess Higgins felt it was better to bring Cato back. He sure made the right choice.
Oh, definitely. I just wonder how Bridge beat out Cato in the first place.
They wanted the publicity of having a Canadian QB on the roster but never thought they would actually have to play their #3.
Nope don't buy it.No way Higgins risks a loss over a publicity ploy. What I read is they were neck and neck after that one week but Higgins had a gut feeling that Cato was the one to try.Maybe not as familiar with Canadian football it took Cato a little longer than Bridges to come around?

Yeah you're right Montreal never puts guys on the roster for the publicity.
    Not at QB. .....

  11. @DarrinBauming: #Bombers announce the removal of DL Deantre Harlan from the practice roster, making room for Int. DL Justin Cole, who is wearing No. 93.

@DarrinBauming: #Bombers mystery running back, whom I noticed a couple weeks ago, has a jersey on today. No. 24. Expect an announcement soon.

Just did a quick lookup on Cole listed as a LB but at 242 might be a rush end for us?
  12. Seriously! Bill Belichik couldn't turn this team around with these QB's. I don't feel sorry for Rider fans but we'd be royally screwed if we lost our #1 and #2 QB's.

Just saying but please keep heaping on the manure. I love reading this thread.:lol::lol::lol:

We'd be royally screwed if we lost Willy, but then we'd be somewhat improved if our number two got hurt. :)
Man that was good for a chuckle.....
  13. The reason we are so set at QB is because they let Willy walk. He was stuck behind Durrant sure but he was leagues ahead of the guys behind him (even tho many claimed sunseri and the other guy were much better).. Their gaffe has been our benefit and I can't be happier lol.

For waaaaay too long the shoe has been on the other foot. I know our depth is still paper thin but still feels very good to know our starter IS starter material and tough as nails to boot..

True that - but regardless, when are WE going to start getting our own quarterbacks and not have to rely on other teams castoffs. Don't forget, for every Willy there's a Lefors, Glenn, Brohm, TJ Rubley, etc. Not that I wish ill will on Willy - though I still need to see him playing in October like he is now before I anoint him the next Bomber QB - I would just like to see us recruit and develop our own Qb for once. If/when Willy goes down again, we got nothing.
Really though in the CFL there are a ton of QBs that are developed on one team that blossemed for another, AC but just one example of a huge list.Really I don't care and I give Kudos to Walters and Danny Mac for getting us our best Qb since a healthy Buck who was another castoff for us.☺
