He is the most experienced clipboard holder we have.I hear he is great at fetching MB his beer when he is formulating the game plan as well. Why is Brohm still here?
-
Waaay to early to make that comparison.I just hope they don't put too much pressure on McDavid.

But wait the rope broke (it was frayed ) and now he plots his revenge........
Yes, I'm guilty as charged for the crime of having an opinion. For that I am being sentenced to death by hanging. There's the gallows. Throw the lever & drop the floor. Let me hang until dead. Yea, though I walk through the Valley Of The Shadow Of Death, I fear no evil. Thy rod & thy staff, they comfort me. I'm entitled to one last dinner of choice, prime rib on the barbecue. Also a cigarette & whiskey on the rocks before my execution. I also have but one last simple request... I have a letter in my back pocket for my family. Please make sure they get it & tell them... I loved them..
It's not about a different opinion, it's about refusing to back up his opinion and opting instead to try and pretend like people are attacking him for having an opinion as opposed for asking for that opinion to be clarified and expanded upon. I swear there is a real lack of understanding the difference here.
A different opinion doesn't mean he's wrong. A few posters ganging up on a member doesn't mean that member is wrong either.
Iso's gonna Iso
It's funny because everyone can see I've actually been trying to get your take on something for like the last 8 posts and you just keep dodging it. You can blame me for a merry-go-round if you want but I'm not the one refusing to answer a simple question.
Mike, this is a merry go round with you. Round & round. As usual when you start up with me it always ends this way. You're actually arguing with me over the merits of keeping a fourth string qb?? What I said was my opinion. If I could see this discussion actually going somewhere I'd be more interested in carrying on. I'm done talking to you. Buh bye.
I've heard of recruiting once or twice. I'll try explaining once more. How can you, as a fan, say Davis is worth cutting when you're basically going off absolutely nothing? You say there are better quarterbacks out there. Obviously. But if that's your argument, we may as well just cut everyone because we're not rostering the best anything in the whole world right now.
Give me a break. There are better qbs out there that haven't been signed. Free agents. It's called RECRUITING, Mike. You're still not answering the question.
Better than what?
I'm asking you - how can you justifiable say with any confidence that he should (or should not) be cut when you're giving a blind opinion on the topic? We haven't seen him do anything, good or bad.

Maybe Harper can use that quote:What eva I do what I want!
No cuss, when I heard about that it immediately brought thisNo Iso's statement was bang on there is no revelant experience for running a country. But hey at least Harper is bringing in Ford to the rescue! Now that's experience for ya!
: -
Please not Gagner in any shape or form even if he is a throw in!
-
Really if none of these guys can't supplant Brohm what hope do they have?Unless (shock)it's all because of that wacky OC we have?

Yes I agree with you.Only have to look at the NDP here in Manitoba as well. The power corrupts adage is true unfortunately.
Can't answer for others but here is my reason. Its the abject arrogance that he shows.Setting the longest election in history so that the Cons can inundate us with ads that the other parties cannot afford.Actually believing that they are the only party that can lead this country without causing a disaster. Harper's latest add says it's not a popularity contest kids do what's best for Canada. Finally Harper knows everything about how to properly run our country but hasn't a clue what his personal aides are up to? Yeah ok.
I think that the smartest thing Trudeau can do is get the GST back up to 7%. That will solve any budgetary deficits for years to come. If he can show surpluses then he will dispel any myths about the Liberals being able to manage the economy. Ralph Goodale was a good finance minister in the past and I expect, if given the job again, he will be good in the future.
Well at least we won't have to hear about how it's only Harper that can save Canada from the evils of the world. When our economy doesn't self destruct because Harper isn't personally running it what then? I can hear you pro cons yelling the horror the horror. What I can't wait to see is how much spinning the anyone but Harper crowd reacts when they realize that the Liberals have been more similar to the Conservatives than anyone else all along. That alone is likely worth the price of admission.
Perhaps also a lot of this anti-Harper bitterness will fade too. Man do people hate that guy. It's like he personally went around Canada kicking everyone's dogs. I don't get it, and I guess I never will. Oh well. And posting lists of hundreds of reasons why he was so bad, mostly complete lies, won't help me understand this hatred any better, I am afraid.
Can't really argue with that one. Honestly, when governments get to the 10 year age range, they really do get extremely arrogant.

Ahh condescension you do it well unknown poster.
You're either very young or have a very short memory. other than "long election" you can replace "Harper" and "Conservatives" with "Cretien" and "Liberals" in your post, and you sum up their "dynasty" pretty well too.

Saving their money for the commissioner.
If a player is close to retirement benefits in NFL he he is a lot less likely to catch onto a team as the league funds the pension. I don't think it is a coincidence that players are released when they are a few games short of the pension. It is the same way that older players have to be a lot better than the younger players to stick as their salaries and every other expense increases with their level of experience. I just read the NFL players collective bargaining agreement which clearly shows the financial advantages for the teams to jettison marginal players. I feel pretty confident that Bilukidi will be available to play in the CFL if he wants to next season. I hope he does. A player with Doug Brown like impact would really make the defence like the powerhouse defences we used to see here.
No... Doug Brown washed out down south too... one game short if being able to collect Nfl pension I believe...So as someone completely ignorant to American football, is this guy washing out down south souring peoples opinion on him, in terms of being able to play up here? Or is he still considered a sure fire stud in our game?
We all expected Bilukidi to come in and be close to Browns caliber of play at DT.... we should have expected him to take a while to get up here as well.
As a side note NFL teams only pay 25 dollars for a player's breakfast on travel days. A Canadian Senator would have a hard time surviving on such a skimpy per diem. Only one glass of orange juice for sure.

Hey if Messam is a fa this offseason maybe we add him and Harris?
-
Loved by none.☺This is so exciting... Glenn just needs Edmonton to complete the CFL bingo card... has it ever been done?
Yeah I don't think so. I really hope that the Esks sign him next year, that would be amazing. Suitcase Glenn. Hired gun, hired by all.
-
Yeah again making sense huh?I must have missed where I said it was a joke to me
But hey have fun with your nonsense and trolling. Vote twice.
-
You make no sense but since it's all kinda of a joke to you ethier way why even vote?I don't diagree with you Goalie. I'm disappointed on the Cons to a degree. But the mistakes I see come with being in power for a long time.
And people naturally gravitate towards "change" when the incumbent has been around awhile.
But the rise of the liberals is less about their policies and more about a turn away from the NDP
That's a win in my book...to a degree. Liberals are lesser of two evils. I'll save a couple hundred bucks in tax under the liberals so it doesn't change my life. But I will laugh heartily of Harper wins.
I might vote this week. And it will most likely be Cons.

Chevy is too smart to go after Richards. We don't have a top face off man but still not worth the risk. I'm sure Copp will get a lot better in that area with experience.

What's worse is the USA is taking 20 years to faze in certain parts of this TPP we are doing it in 5?Hmm mm wonder y?No lol

Q: What, in your view, is wrong with a free-trade deal like the Trans-Pacific Partnership?
A: These are not free-trade agreements. The point is, free-trade is a euphemism. It’s a managed trade deal that all sides put in provisions to manage the trade in their favour.
The problem is … it’s not like the negotiations are happening between the Canadian people and the American people and the New Zealand people. It’s between the trade ministers. Historically, especially in the United States, it’s among the most influenced by special interests of the federal agencies.
That’s where these agreements are becoming particularly bad. It used to be that trade agreements were negotiated over tariffs … the consumers gained. The new agreements are about getting rid of regulations. We’re talking about regulation over the environment, safety, economy, health. The consumers, who are not at the table, get screwed.

I'm curious only this is not a MOS bash but what if he doesn't replace MB in the offseason? What if he really believes that it's not MB'S fault? That's it losing our staring qb lack of a good oline etc etc. Then what?
-
What a bunch of bs.Just Harper covering for the unamed corporations behind their long term money grab long after the artist has passed away.TPP wonder how much Harper is getting out of this down the road? How many board room seats does he get?The arrogance of Harper is palatable.Vote this guy in again and watch the gravy train back up and get loaded for him and his cronies.Brian Mulroney the second coming around the corner.Just watch.Canada Caves on Copyright in TPP: Commits to Longer Term, Urge ISPs to Block Content
October 9, 2015
While the Canadian government has focused on issues like dairy and the auto sector, it caved on key copyright issues in the agreement. As a result, works will be locked out of the public domain for decades at a cost to the public of hundreds of millions of dollars. Moreover, the government will “induce” Internet providers to engage in content blocking even where Canadian courts have not ruled on whether the content infringes copyright. As a result (and as expected – this was raised years ago), the government’s “made in Canada” approach to copyright – which it has frequently touted as representing a balanced approach – faces a U.S. demanded overhaul. In fact, even as other countries were able to negotiate phase-in periods on copyright changes, the Canadian negotiators simply caved.....
Copyright is a huge issue that should not be overlooked, the original laws did a good job of protecting the creator during his life-time and balancing the public use and advancement of the creation. These alterations are designed by lawyers and accountants and are geared to locking in the earning potential of creative works for a much longer term. Here is a good synopsis.
"The entire purpose of copyright law in the US was supposed to be about enabling greater dissemination of learning and knowledge, and that's by increasing the public domain. Yet, instead, because of regulatory capture, and the ability of gatekeepers to hijack the process, we've created a copyright law that does exactly the opposite. It restricts the dissemination of knowledge, decreases cultural sharing and availability, and generally harms creators and their ability to build on culturally relevant works.
What defenders of restrictive copyrights often fail to recognize is that the public domain is what made culture culture. Culture is a shared concept, in which lots of people are all experiencing the same or similar things -- and making it their own as a part of that. We used to share stories, retell jokes, build on and change the works of others, and it was that shared effort that built culture and helped it spread. But copyright law has changed all that. Rather than a true cultural phenomenon, where culture is built up by the public in terms of what they create, share and build upon, we now have a situation where the gatekeepers decide what culture is, push it on everyone via broadcast means, and then tell us not to do anything about it... unless we pay exorbitant sums. That's a perverse understanding of how culture happens, and one that does not benefit creators or the public (often one and the same), but is hugely beneficial for a few gatekeepers.
For a robust creative community and culture, it is important to bring back a healthy respect for the public domain."
