Not to mention The Rock was making Vince toooooons of money. The McMahons would work with Hitler if they thought there was a payday in it.

... or he's just standing up for what he believes in. Which in this case, is commendable. That shirt is atrocious. Even if any racist elements are unintentional, it's still a lame, uninspired design that should never have made it past the initial sketches.

Nope,  no similarities there at all...

The Canadian numbers are getting real interesting. Here's this past week:
    Smackdown: 125,800 viewers
    Raw: 169,800
    AEW: 150,700
Raw was up against a Leafs game while AEW was up against the World Series. Doesn't take much for number in the 100,000s to be drastically affected by an opposing sports event so looking at numbers week to week doesn't give you a great picture, you'll need to look at trends. But the fact that AEW is that close to RAW in Canada and actually beat Smackdown, even once, that's surprising. I'm sure both TSN and AEW would love to use the "most watched wrestling show in Canada" line.

Crazy match tomorrow night at a pretty funky venue. Mentallo vs Super Crazy at the first WrestleMax show. The show is at the former Neon Factory space on Main St. As far as I know, there's no full-time business in there right now so it's basically a wrestling show in an empty building. You see a lot of punk shows like this in empty business or warehouses. Seems like they're going for that sort of thing. Should be fun!

Tony has been great. I was hoping that they'd use him on commentary and I've been really pleased that it panned out. I agree, I wasn't overly excited about Jericho's new crew at first but it's shaping up alright pretty quickly.  Really looking forward to being able to watch the Omega/Janela match on YouTube.

Apparently AEW's ratings on TSN jumped from 110,000 for the premiere to 150,000 this week. That is a tremendous number.

Jericho's promo was pretty great. Typically I'm not a fan of promos mentioning that things are scripted but I didn't mind it in Jericho's. It almost came across as "those guys have writers and creative teams; we're more real". I'm fine with that.

Also, just read that AEW had 109,000 viewers on TSN2. Someone on twitter did the math and that's equivalent to just under 1,000,000 US viewers. That's impressive on no promotion aside from a press release AND going up against opening night of the NHL season. For perspective, Raw gets about 250k-300k on Sportsnet from what I was reading.

    Couple of thoughts on Dynamite...
    - A lot of guys didn't see any screen time. I like that. We don't need to see everyone every week.
    - I like the look/feel of the arena and the production. Like TUP mentioned, it feels like wrestling.
    - Tony Schiavone and JR on commentary was very good to great. I've been so so on JR in AEW up to this point. A friend of mine and I were talking a while back and we agreed that it felt like JR just wasn't happy with the broadcast team and took the Homer Simpson approach ("If you don't like your job, don't quit. Just go in every day and do a really half-assed job"). Now that he's got Tony with him, he sounds more engaged.

The lesson is, you don't compete with the biggest drug dealer in America and not face their wrath, especially if you're a non-white.

While I'm a lot more comfortable with Streveler at QB now than I was a few weeks ago, I would still feel a lot better with both of them healthy. Also, you have to feel bad for Nichols. It's going to be tough for him to regain his starting role next year.

Thrilled to see this. Bob Cameron is arguably one of the reasons I became a die hard Bomber fan. I grew up a few streets down from Bob and my best friend though elementary school and jr. high's dad ran a home reno company in the neighbourhood. If anyone knows Bob, you could easily imagine that these two guys got along pretty easily. Anyway, one day my friend and I wanted to go chuck around a football but we couldn't find his in his basement. His dad suggested we pop by Bob's; he'd probably have one. So off we went, in the drizzling rain, to Bob Cameron's house to see if he had a football we could use. Sure enough, he had one. But not only did he have a ball, he also had a story about the Grey Cup the ball was used in that he told use before sending us out into the rain with the thing to kick it around. This was probably about a year or two after my dad took me to my first Bomber game (1997). The next spring my buddy and I got season tix in section S as 14-15 year olds. About six games in the guys behind us started buying us beer because I hit a Ti-Cat fan about 20 rows below us in the head with a Coke bottle cap I flicked. He tried to fight like 30 people attempting to find the guy the flicked it. The dude's behind us thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen. I never learned their names in the 3 or 4 years they sat behind us but goddamn did they do a ton to introduce me to football. I'll never forget them cooking on their Hibachi in their seats during the 2001 east final.

    This is spot on.
Having lived here long enough, I've learned how they work. Saskatoon seems to be partly exempt, but the massive insecurity the rest of this province has manifests in a pretty classic way. They're insecure because their weakness is apparent. They're saddled massively with inbred stupidity, where schooling or intelligence is considered a weakness. They have literally nothing going here other than a CFL team, a WHL team and a disgusting shallow lake filled with various types of feces (mostly avian and human). Everything else in this province is done on the small and is pretty much a backwoods parody of what real cities have. They know they're low tier so they're loud. about. everything. ALWAYS. There's this general hatred of Winnipeg but nobody has traveled there. They rarely travel anywhere. They're loud and proud about... well...not really much, but they're too dumb to know it.

Having lived amongst them for so long, I guess you could say I'm like their version of Jane Goodall, except these gorillas are less civilized and aren't nearly as intelligent....and they'll fling their poo anywhere.
