  1. It might be fun to track at least for a few weeks who made the better QB acquisition, Hamilton or Winnipeg. No don't say Ottawa. Obviously the Blue won hands down this week but will it continue? Would Willy have looked as bad behind Hammy's o-line? Was Collaros totally at fault tonight or should play-calling be blamed for the turkey-shoot? Anyone expecting an exact repeat in Week 2?
  2. O Shea must have liked what h e saw of him in Toronto I am not adverse to renting old pro's
  3. Sorry AUSTIN ... brain fart from alternate universe
  4. Exactly ... I don't believe Banks is at 100% but I do believe we are getting lazy reporting here but what do I know
  5. I fear the worst for Watson; he plays with abandon and unless he learns something about self protection...
  6. Regina has lost some big pieces after they stuffed the Cap last year in a successful drive for the Cup last season. Their leftovers are still pretty good. Clements is going to do something with the Cats but I see no signs of it yet. I am guessing that McManus was right in recommending Willy over Collaros .... replacing Burris is the right long term move but as far as we know Hamilton only acquired a very average QB I will be surprised if Regina doesn't win and not surprised at all if they win by a lot Regina is still in the top half of the teams ... Hamilton is a Wannabe
  7. Didn't Matt Dunigan predict the Red Blacks would NOT finish last in the east this year. He must have previewed the Alouette training camp! What does Montreal have going for it self this year? Feels like disorientation and chaos to me... the tumble continues
  8. Interesting that the author of today's Banks' article is blaming TSN for calling him a healthy scratch ... hard to judge the performance of a knicked up athlete .... Banks will eventually get on the field and then we will see Don't like trolling reporters trying to peddle their papers
  9. Agreeing with other posters that Glenn is as good as the personnel around him .... BC doesn't have all their stuff this year and its going to be a long struggling season for them unless Buono gets an airlift of yanks in the door ... he is good at it
  10. West 1st Stamps 2nd Riders 3rd Bombers 4th Lions 5th Esks East 1st Argos 2nd Cats 3rd Alouettes 4th RB's Stamps finally get that Cup although Ricky Ray makes it close. The Als are lucky they only have to beat out an expansion team. Smith isn't the answer at QB. Hamilton isn't a dominating team yet finishing 4th overall. Collaros turns out to be just average. Calgary gets it altogether with great determination. The Riders don't have last year's stuff but still have decent talent. Kevin Glenn is himself and starts 12 games ... Wally just doesn't have it any more. Edmonton is more of a joke than last year. As for our Blue, the quality of coaching and leadership shine through. We lose when our Canadian talent get injured but healthy we win our share. International players get updated throughout the first half. Willy is finally our QB. Mavre shows great promise. We edge out a troubled Lion club that crosses over to the East for the playoffs.
  11. So what does your depth chart look like at this moment in time?
  12. Rather than worrying about wages I would like to see the league add more Canadians to the rosters for development purposes. For example, add 5 "designated" minimum salary positions to be enjoyed by 1st and 2nd year NI's. Expand the 42/46 to 44/49 or something like that. Could also add a 50th position for a Canadian QB .... I would also like to see the Taxi squad bigger with more yanks learning the Canuck version of 3 down football Add 5 or 6 positions and more Taxi $ ... creating more union jobs .... better quality football over the long haul. Less injury impact with bigger rosters and over time better quality Canadians Thinking non-mainstream here...
  13. I am not sure I am inspired by this video .. I have seen more fans at our local high school game ... didn't see great speed ... did see his ability to go to open spaces and cut back against the grain .... yawn
  14. I dont like the black background and reverse lettering … I won't read it Look at the highly successful blogs and get rid of the gimmicks
  15. Yea I am .... everything changed when O'Shea took over .... I admire Wade Miller for stepping vack from his ideas to give O'S some space ... nonetheless Hocking would be awesome
  16. I would like to see us hire Doug Hocking as LB coach …. talented, extremely football bright, and the right attitude …. he is in the BC Junior football peogram …. Wade Miller knows him well
  17. As a child I used to wait for the Tribune and Jack Matheson's column to arrive after school … then waiting for dad to come home from work so I could tell him the Bomber's latest news ….
  18. The new Bomber sites are a huge improvement over whatt we had two years ago … I am very happy about it all What I miss though is the column listing the latest CFL/Bomber articles in the Free Press, Sun and other papers I find it a pain in the butt to be constantly searching the online sports pages - - es[ecially in the off season Can we pin a topic where our members can post the latest media links with a short description of the article?
  19. This is the best schedule for me in years … Thursday nights are fantastic, especially in the summer -- love it …. Saturday nights in the fall are 10x better than Friday nights for me
  20. The treasured players have been snapped up and the lottery ticket leftovers thrown over our shoulders … now its time to sign the grinders who aren't worth what they dreamed they would get i hope we resign Foster as a receiver who has potential to move up a couple of levels What other dark horses are out there that can develop into good role players?
  21. So why didn't we offer Emery $250 000 ?
  22. Chimp howling into the wind here: How is it not one trade took place before the expansion draft?
