While Trump appears to have concluded this isn't accurate and that he, too, has the ability to fire Mueller himself, doing so would undoubtedly set up a massive legal fight (in addition to a political one). What if Trump fires Rosenstein and replaces his as deputy attorney general with someone who is more amenable to the idea of getting rid of Mueller? That would kill two birds with one stone -- get rid of the pesky Rosenstein and put someone in his stead who would get rid of Mueller! Add it all up and it becomes pretty clear that Rosenstein has to be the favorite to get fired this week. And a pretty heavy favorite at that.

My hunch says Blues if Allen could show up (which he didn't against the Hawks their last game) but the AVS speed could give the Preds some headaches but the Preds did sweep them this year regular season. Anyway be interesting to see who squeaks in and who can at least rough the Preds up when they play us the second round, of course knowing we gotta get by the Wild first.

I'd disagree. I think there is a happy medium. Plunk in a few roster press box guys like Roslo and Poolman for the last game of the season. Give them some playing time in case we need them in the playoffs. Imo i don't think sitting out two or three guys for a handful of days will result in rust.

If we play Minnesota in the first round, we need to really watch the January 13th, 2018 gametape and combat the blueprint they drew up in beating us 4-1. I remember watching that game and thinking this is exactly how you defend against our team,, i.e., clogging the middle, disrupting our neutral ice speed and set-up. They did it almost perfectly that game. At the end of the day though, bring on whoever.

Yup risk but what if it works more than it doesn't? Won"t know until you try. And keep in mind only on back to back games. And I'd be interested to know the w/l percentage of teams second game on a back to back.

Watching the game last night made me think that inserting press box guys itching to play in the second game of back to back games might be a viable strategy to use throughout the year and not just once you've secured a playoff spot.

I know Goalie will disagree but Tanev has shown on two plays in this game why he is such an important piece for this team. 1) Covering on Defence and making the play and 2) putting his body on the line and blocking shots. He is a player made for playoff type hockey. Hope it's just a bruise.

And he also made clear that him shooting cortisone on the bench is purely coincidental. There is a way better joke in there somewhere but this is all I could think of.

My guess, and it's only a guess, some of them didn't have any to start with to check in. For some of these people, they can't blame Trump in who they are.
