  1. Yea I’ve recently wondered how many people are out there presently doing really bad things others don’t know about who know it’s wrong, feel bad and want to stop versus others who could care less if it’s wrong, don’t feel sorry at all and hope they never get caught.
  2. Wow. It seems every time I check the BlueJackets scoreboard as Atkinson is in my hockey pool, Roslovic is usually there with a point or more. Obviously that doesn't necessarily mean he's showing well but wow, no room for error it seems with Torts.
  3. The part I always enjoy is when they have former coaches on providing their analysis of the game at hand. I really liked when they had on Lapo and Benevides going at each other from an offensive and defensive perspective and how they would try to counter each other using the specifics of the game to argue what adjustments need to happen. Very entertaining imo.
  4. Nice summary of how the US political system is broken.
  5. I'd love to see this. Then bring back Chris Walby dressed in an undersized old school blue CBC jacket with his signature fingers wrapped around a CFL microphone.
  6. Let the 'I did what I could' tours begin.
  7. Laine has shown he can be very hard on himself, his confidence becomes fragile thru stretches. To break out of these funks he seems the type that better responds to PM's type coaching (player friendly) than JT's type, i.e., I don't give a flying F who you are. Good luck.
  8. Can't really blame him or other players/coaches etc. Unfortunately way too much uncertainty with the CFL, he's got to take care of himself.
  9. I'm seeing this more and more: saying the quiet part out loud. Our actions when we think no one is watching and our unfiltered personal thoughts we usually keep to ourselves tell us who we really are as a person, the good and the bad. The Trump era combined with ever changing technology has really helped provide an environment for people to feel way more comfortable and supported to act a certain way and to share their unfiltered personal thoughts that otherwise would usually be frowned upon in our life experience. I think it tells us that we haven't progressed as well as we thought but more of a cycle thing. Things are suppressed and improved upon a bit until people like Trump and his enablers come along, gain power and influence, technology constantly more sophisticated helping reignite all the things we thought we were leaving behind. Rinse repeat. Historians can trace this way better than I'm trying to do here.
  10. Seriously why not? If you have nothing to hide, step up. It always seems to come back to follow the money. Money, power, influence trumps everything else. Ethics, integrity, transparency be damned. Ugh.
  11. Yup and they'll throw back at you, 'you sensitive thought experimenter peace and love anti-gun person you'.
  12. Yea understandable but video is a great thing. Refs are human, yes they make mistakes but applying this model imperfectly but consistently can negate anyone who thinks refs are biased because their team is being unfairly penalized. Maybe the NHL's hand will be forced to better endorse how games are being called and do a way better job supporting the referees to follow this model. One can hope.
  13. What's weird to me is what's the motive here? What's the reward for purposely evening up calls? To make the refs the focal point of the game? To ensure the fans of the higher penalized team don't get angry? What? This has always punished the disciplined teams. Here's a model. Just call a penalty when warranted dictated by the rule book, be consistent in how these rules are being applied during the game and don't worry about the color of the jersey, the score the game or the time you are at in the game.
  14. I predict no penalties will be called for any of the games being played tonight lol.
  15. If the NHL operated like European soccer, the Oilers would have been relegated to the WHL, not been given 1st round draft picks for losing.
  16. Actually I don’t think so. I don’t think that would even do it.
  17. Apparently once you mix in feelings you're stuck, therefore no way you can truly understand the issue (s) and get to logical solutions.
  18. This 'you're punishing us law-abiding citizens, my right to bear arms, you're not taking my guns away, my freeeeeeedom, my liberttttyyy with your stupid gun rules' argument is absurd, it's nonsense. You could use the same argument for practically everything else . Most of us are law abiding citizens, why have regulations/rules/laws/restricted access etc for anything? Seriously, suffocating.
  19. It's about time don't you think. All those first round draft picks they were rewarded with because they stunk. Oilers suck hard. Yea I'm grumpy I've been dealing with texts from Oiler fans all morning.
  20. LB has to come out and challenge. Way to deep. McDavid will eat that up every time.
  21. His post game interview indicating he hasn’t been playing well would suggest he might be aware of some of these defensive lapses.
  22. It would be interesting to know the specifics of the wheeling and dealing (if any) that go on behind the scenes when it comes to putting and claiming players off waivers i.e., between Winnipeg Ottawa and Vancouver Toronto.
