I will be disappointed but not shocked if either or both are still here at training camp. Even in his dotage, McManus would be a better option.

Then Bomber fans need to have barf bags passed out at every home game.

Re: the Bond vs Randall debate. We have one very good quarterback on hand two ..umm...questionable ones to protect and Bond has been a valuable and solidifying presence on the O-line. On the other hand, despite Randall's efforts, our backfield got lit up a lot once again. So, close as it might seem, my vote goes to keeping Bond.

Is this sort of like slowly eating a live toad first thing in the morning? 'Cause then nothing worse will happen for the rest of the day?

Only if that would get Drew Willy back.

God. Picking through Rider leftovers- are the Bombers that desperate/inept?

Sorry, all. Don't know how that happened- it wouldn't post, then posted 4x.

I wouldn't rule that possibility out.

I am also a fan of a QB who can scare the opposition as a threat to run and run well, if that is the best option. I suspect that the door is closing for Bridge to sow that he can be a legitimate starter. Its now or never for him.

That will be interesting to watch. God knows, he has the talent but horrible throwing mechanics- is he resistant to coaching?

The difference to me is that Durant, although well-paid, played for a team that was fortunate to win any games at all, what with the gong show going on in Montreal. Davis and LeFevour did not have that millstone around their necks. If the Bombers come up with a really promising quarterback prospect and he beats out Durant or anyone else in training camp, so be it. Our track record of recruiting finding quarterbacks over the past oh, 20 years, does not inspire confidence.

Good arm and size, seems to ad lib well, accurate and protects the ball- what's not to like?

If you had an employee who was in training for 3 years and still felt he/she could not step into the breech and showed he/she could not, you would fire that person and look elsewhere for someone who could. This is not rocket surgery.

To me, it doesn't matter worth a damn if Davis and LeFevour "know" LaPolice's system- they have to go onto the field and execute. They didn't.

Have you seen Davis and/or LeFevour in action?

Apart from Hurl, the greatest disappointment this past season was the performances of LeFevour and Davis, particularly Davis. LeFevour is who he is but Davis had ample prep time and was so unable to gain the confidence of the coaches that he was shunted aside in favour of a known but very limited retread. Why the heck did it take so long for the Bomber brain trust to see this, and more importantly, replace him?

Neither of these have shown that they are any better than Drew Willy, so what would be the wisdom in retaining either of them? I say we give Durant a decent, but not exorbitant offer and bring in a couple-three promising rookies.

RE: Davis and LeFevour- use the same ingredients and you get the same cake. I would welcome Durant over these in a heartbeat. If the Bombers are spending $100,000+ for a third-down specialist/one-trick pony, there is something really wrong.

"Cuz everyone knows that football is only played in "Murica.

And there was this rather racy movie being filmed in Alabama and when the locals heard of all the nudity, they showed up on set and started booing and throwing rocks at the actors. Fortunately, the local minister showed up, stood in front of the crowd and picked up one of the projectiles saying. "Let those among you who have never sinned stone the cast first."

Now you've gone and ruined it for the rest of us. Did you know that MacGuver joined the US air force (Stargate Command) afterwards?

Sure. Just look at the top of your computer screen at your tool bar for that kinda circle with an arrow.

Yup. His jersey ought to read "ROADKILL"

Quite a condemnation of Hall.

The CFL needs to hire my wife to oversee the challenges. Sometimes she knows I am wrong even before I open my mouth.
