For me it comes down to quality of life. Spending days in a diaper sitting in a wheelchair while drooling and unresponsive is not living, it is just existing.

The Russian command officially removed Prigozhin from directing the fighting, leaving him only Bakhmut. The rest of the areas in which he commanded have been taken over by the Russian army.

Bombshell: 1000 US citizen children were separated from parents under Trump and Miller's policies A “significant” number of children who were U.S. citizens were separated by the Trump administration from their parents, a result of the then-president’s broader “zero-tolerance” anti-immigrant polices created to send a message to migrants in Central America to not travel to the United States or risk their families being permanently destroyed. “A government task force is tracking the fates of U.S. citizen children taken from migrant parents during the Trump administration. Some have spent years in foster care,” The New York Times revealed in a bombshell report Tuesday. “Hundreds, and possibly as many as 1,000, children born to immigrant parents in the United States were removed from them at the border, according to lawyers and immigrant advocates who are working with the government to find the families.” Just as with the more than 5000 immigrant children the Trump administration separated from their families who the Biden administration has been actively working to re-unite, some of the 1000 children who are U.S. citizens have also yet to be reunited with their families. “In many cases, the U.S.-born children were placed into foster care for lengthy periods, and some have yet to be reunited with their parents, lost in the system nearly five years after the separations took place.”

Trump Files Appeal To Stop Pence From Testifying In Jan. 6 Investigation: Reports The former vice president indicated he would testify in the probe after a judge agreed that the Constitution’s “speech and debate clause” applied to him. Donald Trump is planning to fight an order for former Vice President Mike Pence to testify before the grand jury investigating the former president’s efforts to cling to power despite losing the 2020 presidential election, according to multiple news reports. Trump’s team filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia on Monday to contest an earlier court decision saying Pence should comply with a subpoena for his testimony and documents.

This is a victory for the fascists as they seek to disrupts elections and Americans' confidence in the electoral process. Another step towards a Christo-Oligarchic-fascist state.

Old hatreds and resentments are reappearing and threaten the peace. And what does this have to do with Sting's old band?

Can't argue with that.

It is a core value of right-wingers that they will NOT change their allegiances when confronted with evidence to the effect that their loyalty is not respected but abused. Many will even double down.

But that will change......nothing.

ANOTHER Russian Oligarch Dies Mysteriously in Putin’s Russia -Reuters Russian energy oligarch Igor Shkurko was found dead in a Siberian prison cell Tuesday after he was accused of taking a bribe. Shkurko, 49, was the deputy general director of energy company Yakutskenergo. He had reportedly submitted appeals against the bribery allegation the day before being found dead in his cell. Shkurko, who was a member of the pro-Putin United Russia party, is now one of many unexplained deaths that have occurred since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Experts estimate that at least 39 high-profile figures have died mysteriously since the start of the war. Russian authorities released no details surrounding Shkurko’s death, but said they saw no evidence of a “criminal death.” Shkurko was accused of demanding a bribe worth approximately $6,200. He was married with two sons.

National Security Officials Testify That Trump Tried To Seize Voting Machines In bombshell testimony to the special counsel grand jury, Trump administration national security officials testified that they had to tell Trump they didn’t have the authority to seize voting machines after the 2020 election. CNN reported: Chad Wolf, the former acting Homeland Security secretary, and his former deputy Ken Cuccinelli were asked about discussions inside the administration around DHS seizing voting machines when they appeared before the grand jury earlier this year, according to three people familiar with the proceedings. Cuccinelli testified that he “made clear at all times” that DHS did not have the authority to take such a step, one of the sources said. Trump’s former national security adviser Robert O’Brien, in a closed-door interview with federal prosecutors earlier this year, also recounted conversations about seizing voting machines after the 2020 election, including during a heated Oval Office meeting that Trump participated in, according to a source familiar with the matter. The fact that those conversations happened in the Oval Office suggests that Trump was trying to get the federal government to seize the voting machines in swing states so that he could claim that there had been fraud and stay in power.
