I was getting more and more livid watching and listening to Suitor (and a little CC as well) gush over KU while a huge game was going on for us. Yes I'm being overly sensitive after a 29 year drought but completely unprofessional to use this game, the championship game to joke with KU about his lack of knowledge of our game and to promote his next album and concert.
And then a while later, after our BB's secured the win CC declaring Hamilton will be in the final next year.
Gimme a break.
 
 
 
 

Yeah, crazy that the last time the Bombers played an Eastern team in the Grey Cup was against the TiCats in 1984. 
The Bombers' last 7 appearances have been against Western opponents.

I wasn't the most popular kid in elementary, middle years and junior high. Football, and the Bombers were one of the few things the gave me joy.
I broke my wrist in 2000. My mom got me season tickets as a "pick me up" because my summer was essentially ruined. I had them for 8 years before moving temporarily. 
I was in grade 9 in 2001. I cried when they lost.
2002 - We lose Milt on the last game of the season. We lose Charles Roberts on the first play of the west final.
2003 - No Milt for the playoffs again. Kenton Keith runs the ball down our throat. You can see times are changing.
2004 - Lyle Bauer does his first sabotage job canning Dave Ritchie
2007 - I fully maintain given we lost by 3 points, with Ryan Dinwiddie throwing 3 picks, that we beat the piss out of the Riders if we had Kevin Glenn that game.
End of 2008 - Lyle Bauer sabotage job 2
The next few years, ugly as a whole, even if we did somehow make it to the dance in 2011.
Slowly got better under Walters...even if there were bumps along the way. Etch a Sketch defence. Kuale. Choking in the west semi against BC. Continuing to be owned by Calgary. Not able to get over the hump.
But finally. It's over. And more tears were shed last night. And all of the dumbfounding decisions of era's past, and heartbreaking losses don't matter.
Beautiful.

What a playoff run by this team a d what a performance by the defence. We will talk about this team in hushed tones for ever. Simply dominant on the defensive line.

After tonight Harris has finally surpassed Roberts as my all time favourite Bombers RB. What an effort. What an effort all around to all the players and all the coaches these past three games. This had to have been one of the best Championship runs I've ever witnessed. Three absolute beauties against the three best teams in the league, aside from us of course 😉

I'm almost certain Andrew Harris has been immortalized here in Winnipeg forever because of this. We've witnessed the formation of a legend tonight 

The 1984 Grey Cup was sweet but this is by far for me, the sweetest Grey Cup win. I never thought I'd have to wait 29 years which is why it is so extra special . I went from a young man with a young family to a senior with a new knee between wins. I truly thought I'd never see my team ever win another. Thank you to all the Blue Bomber players & coaches for making all our dreams finally come true. 

Im gutted the season is over, though. #IsItJune?

Collaros undefeated as a Bomber.

1. Harris - He. Shut. Them. Up.
2. Brandon Alexander - a key change down the stretch, steadied and solidified the secondary. All that pressure is nothing without steady coverage. 
3. Collaros - the D was great, Harris was great, this GC does not happen without ZC8
HH Streveler - played hurt, played gutsy and showed what this team is all about. 
HH #2 the DL - so much for all those Hammy OL all - stars.

The Defence gave up three (3!!!!!!!) TDs all playoffs. Love Hall. 

The defence came together before the Stamps game, and hasn't let up since the start of that game.
remarkable defensive run for those guys. Goal line stands, stopping third and one, humbling Bo Levi, interceptions, forced fumbles, so impressive.

honestly, it was great to see those tigercat players crying.
Bombers crushed them.
 

1. Andrew Harris - Leader. Incredible. Man on a mission.
2. Defensive line - fantastic across the board. Impossible to choose just one.
3. Mike Jones - No better time to have the best game of your career. Love this guy. Fought all the way through this season from the practice roster to today.
HH to Richie Hall for defying all the doubters and coaching the best damn defence in the league.

1 Harris the real mop and MOC this year 
2 DL. Ferocious bone jarring night of pressure. Best ever play off defense.
3 Medlock. 6/7 FGs great punting and kick offs.
And honorable mention to every other player this year.

Another thing I hope Osh takes into consideration. He’s already 3rd all-time in wins for the Bombers (56). Behind Cal Murphy (86) and Bud Grant (102)
 
Win the cup on Sunday and a few more winning seasons and who knows? The guy could one day be cast in bronze outside IGF—its not that far-fetched.
