Maybe my brain isn't working this morning but who is on the IR? Vaughters is as big as any of them and he's starting. That's what they did. Just not showed the most in the preseason games. There was a whole camp that most of us have no idea what happened at because there is no one to report on it. 2nd year guy Wheatfall beat out Mitchell and White to make the active roster. Sterns beat out Mitchell and White to make the active roster. Reports are he has chemistry with Zach. Hall made a few catches in a preseason game. So what?

I get the frustration but the signing bonuses are a sunk cost no matter who plays now. Mitchell got 63K upfront, 148K overall, so $85K for the season, ~$4.7K per game JJones got 15K upfront, 120.5K overall, so $105K for the season, ~$5.8K per game. It's game 1, so $10.5K to sit. *numbers from 3downnation so who knows if accurate Sorry. I'm an accountant. FWIW I really want to see JJones play and would prefer him on the roster. Hope he gets in soon. Mitchell it sucks to burn the bonus money but whichever of the 3 vet receivers brought in showed the most in camp gets to play. Overall much better depth position than last year at receiver and LB.

Don't love all the Cdn LBs and DTs but that is the Cdn depth at the moment until all the DBs heal up. Would love to get Woods and JJones on the roster. Hard to do with the 3 american olinemen. I'm sure Wilson will get hurt soon enough and JJones can slot in.

Why are you comparing Strev to Ford anyway? Strev is a back up. No one has handed the keys to the team to Strev paid him starter money. Ford was named the 39th best player in the league! He should be playing way better than Strev.

Yes I forgot Wheatfall. I’m not even sure who you are upset got cut here? Nobody likes the Cdn DTs beyond Lawson, but it’s not like they cut a bunch of Cdn DTs that showed better. The American dlineman cut would have been nice to keep but Willie, Woods, Adams, Vaughters, Person for the American 3 dline spots looks good. They kept a the American LBs in Ayers and JJones. No American rookie receiver jumped off the page.

When was the last time we actually lost someone off the PR?

Let’s save the bitching about who is on the game day roster vs PR until they actually set a roster for a game. Glad they kept most of the standouts from the preseason around. Cooley, Allen, Woodbey, Vaval None of the rookie American receivers showed much on anything unfortunately.

Disappointed Gowan couldn’t grab the corner spot but he didn’t quite look shutdown in Sask.
