  1. I get what you are saying but this team is just too raw and devoid of talent to let Willy try to lead it out the gate. Glenn would take a lot of pressure off.
  2. Glenn re-uniting with Khari makes sense. Doubt Wally will want him though.
  3. Cauchy and Hall for Glenn would work for both clubs. Desjardins has to get rid of him and he gets a CFL QB and a NI in return. Glenn will win us at least 3-4 more games than just throwing Willy to the wolves. If Willy shows promise we can cut Glenn in the offseason.
  4. Let's get him. Though I'd rather just wait and get him for free. Is there any garbage we can give OTT so they trade? I think EDM will be in the mix....
  5. The league would be fine if OTT folded. And lets be honest -- recent history suggests they will. If I'm a Cockblock fan I wouldn't be forking out for any 10 year season ticket deals.
  6. So you want this league to fail?? You sound like a great fan.... No, I want this latest Ottawa team (what is it, 3.0? 4.0) to crash and burn. Not the league. Reading comprehension.
  7. I'm not surprised. Our rep is abysmal. Do good work for a season or two -- meaning no fiascos and an obvious commitment to trying to put coaches/players in a position to win -- and things will turn around. Just don't expect pedigree coaches right off the hop. It's the #Mackeffect
  8. I normally roll my eyes at the "he was a great player for us, therefore he must be a great coach" kind of logic. That said, I think Buck has potential. Yeah, some of his decision making when the bullets were flying was boneheaded, but that doesn't mean he doesn't understand the game and what it takes to be a good CFL QB. And the fact that he's just a really good guy matters when you're talking positional coaches.
  9. Yep. This latest Ottawa incarnation really has started off with a bullseye on their back for me. I actually liked the Renegades, Joe Paopao was a likeable coach, etc. The #COCKBLOCKS? Forget them. May they be doing the season ticket telethon by August for all I care.
  10. I hope that franchise crashes and burns. To come out of the gate taking shots at other teams (i.e. us) and then pull that dooshbag move on Kevin Glenn is appalling. I hope they give Kevin away for nothing and then Burris flames out. Middle finger to the #COCKBLOCKS
  11. Wiecek is lazy, both as a writer and as a beat reporter. Guy has to figure out where his passion is and channel his energy there. It ain't the Blue and Gold.
  12. Had we known.... that is a very, very good GM that just might be available.
  13. Seriously considering this. Can I just PayPal you 5 bucks?
  14. They currently have far better quarterbacking than we do. I would be surprised if they don't blow us out.
  15. But he and Willy keep in contact. They even chat on Facebook. Do they make Bomber jersey's for QB coaches? I want to be first with a Barret one. What number should I get?
  16. 2002 I still think was the year they should have won it, but man you lose Stegall before the playoffs, Roberts gets hurt on the first play of the game in the west final, I think Doug Brown was playing with a high ankle sprain too... just too many of the stars hurt at the worst time. And the crazy thing was, had Chad Plummer not dropped that deep pass on the final drive we probably kick a field goal to force overtime. Quite the accomplishment considering the score at the half. Yeah after the way that game started and the guys that were missing to get that game within 3 was an accomplishment. 2001 they obviously should have won but 2002 to me hurts more just because I think it was a much more dangerous team and really the last legitimately top teir team they really had. The offense could seemingly score at will, the defense was still solid. Haven't seen a team with balance like that since I don't think. I remember that 2002 team; after we had destroyed (the Lions I think?) at home and we're getting ready to head to EDM, journalists from around the league we're calling us the scariest team in the league, much better than the 2001 team that whiffed the Grey Cup.
  17. Wally Buono as Bomber GM would be an instant, immediate upgrade over anything we've had since, well, I don't know. A healthy Dave Ritchie? When you hire Wally, you also hire a very good pipeline to talent (Roy Shivers?). And while he may cut guys a little TOO early, at least he doesn't get taken to the woodshed too often or get held over a barrel by prima-donnas. Ask the other GM's in the league if they respect Wally as a GM. Then ask what they think of Joe Mack.
  18. Oh I think we still won that one. Agreed. Yeah, no love for Pierce either, just that our receiving corps sucks, and our NI receiving corps even more so. Surprised they let Foster bounce unless he, well, sucked too.
  19. Who did we trade for Foster? Pierce? Wally won that one.
  20. Feel bad for Willy, playing behind that O line. Hope it doesn't crush the kid's confidence.
  21. That's all bro-science. ;-) Ugh. I always laugh how (some) science is validating stuff guys were doing in the gym 50 years ago. We need more of it in the diet side though. Some nonsense out there.
  22. Coaching is everything with Olympic lifting. A cable biceps curl? Not so much.
  23. Kudos to you for hiring help. Sounds like a solid plan you're following.
