  1. Yes he was, and Taman signed him to a try out contract. I don't know if that try out ever occurred. I can't find much information about it. It doesn't matter anyway. The reason I mentioned it was simply that Taman has made some good moves in his career.. Careful, fake Duane Forde will come at you with a badger for suggesting that. It's King Of Multi Quote and Delusional Rambling. You're like if Matthew McConnahey's character in True Detective was an online football fanatic.

The reason I mentioned it was simply that Taman has made some good moves in his career.. Again, nice straw man argument. I say Taman can't find QBs.... you say "you're wrong Taman has made some good moves in his career...." and then present a bunch of examples backing up your argument -- an argument that was never made in the first place. Next you're going to tell me how nice Taman was with you one day at Tim Hortons to refute how he used to trade away draft picks.
  3. As twisted and borderline psychotic that perspective is, I agree completely. Cheers!
  4. Hey, -- I never said I had "inside sources" unless reading the Freep columnists and whatever the usual rubes like Madani are saying constitutes as such. But please, do continue arguing things that were never said.
  5. Not sure your point though I would speculate that Dressler is a superior QB to some of Taman's dud QB prospects.
  6. You don't give a GM credit for identifying backup qbs that are worth going after? Seems to me that We're giving Walters credit for bringing Willy here, why not give Taman his props for doing that twice for us? Twice in 10 years... and I am not certain he was responsible for landing KJ. Ritchie would have been in on that one. The Glenn trade in 05 or 06 was nice though. Now list all the rubes he brought in. And I am not pumping Walters tires for landing Willy. especially considering he openly admitted he had 1-2 QB's slotted ahead of him 2 guys in 10 years... Khari Started for the team for 4 years and Glenn for 6... what's the problem here? Glenn was hardly on solid ground for several of those years. Where was the competition? The grooming? Fricken SK had Nylon, Burris, Glenn and Butler at once, and what did we have?

Where do you get this BS from? Openly? Perhaps not. Others close to the org all said Collaros and/or Henry Burris were on the dance card ahead of Willy. Were you around last off season?
  8. Can you make your point please, ideally in 2-3 sentences? I get paid to read drivel and frankly, having to weave through your multi-quoting and pseudo intellectual babbling feels a little to much like work.

  10. So he made two very good trades to get qbs that took their respective team's to the Grey Cup. He then built a very good team around a qb he inherited and won a Grey Cup. This all must be very embarassing for him. Taman's bird dogging at the QB position has been embarrassing. I standby that statement. Doesn't make him an "embarrassing GM" though thank you for try to straw-man me anyway.
  11. Normally I would take criticisms of the clarity of my posts more seriously. For whatever reason, you don't make the cut today. Sorry. Taman "had" Khari but he sure as hell didn't find him. BC did. The only reason he got Glenn was that SK had plethora at the time and he was able to snake Glenn by way of TO. Taman's bird dogging at the QB position is embarrassing.
  12. How do you figure that exactly? Whatever the party line and smokescreen has been in mold-land about Sunseri being better than Willy, Willy was a free agent and was going to leave in February 2014. Taman was smart/lucky/right-place-right-time to get a pick for him. He didn't mismanage anything, Willy's contract was coming to an end. Slavery has been abolished. He was free to leave and was going to leave, having fulfilled the terms of his contract. Not sure why Taman gets blamed for the Bombers not giving him anything beyond a bare-bones scouting department or a player budget comparable with other CFL teams when he was here. More often than not he did an alright job of making lemonade out of lemons. Unless you were being literal and not sarcastic. Then I agree, and if we'd given him the same resources he has at his disposal in Regina, we might have seen similar results here. Read again. His status as a "GC winning GM" only came to fruition when the QB was provided to him and he had a blank check book to work with.
  13. Amazing how capable of a GM Taman is when he inherits a QB and has an unlimited budget. DD announces his retirement and Taman is forced to play by the cap rules -- Taman would never get near .500 again
  14. I don't mind Durant. There were times when the Rider "faithful" were dogging him that I thought we should make a play for him. I loved watching the TSN special they did on Milt's off-season conditioning business, CFL in the ATL. Durant was just gushing about how much he's learned from Milt. I think half of Regina had an aneurism, the other half **** the bed.
  15. This is a false post. Tito Sunshine does not get benched. Tito Sunshine takes a step back to survey his options.
  16. Situation is that we needed a DL... Pall was cut by Montreal and has barely played, Adebayo was on PR and has CFL experience Both were available. Except you can't simply claim a player off of a practice roster, that player has to agree to sign with the team attempting to claim him. Adebayo is from Edmonton, and he's played even less than Pall. He hasn't played less than Pall... Edmonton wasn't looking for DL depth when we were - Adebayo would not have said 'no thanks, waiting for someone to get injured in Edmonton...' Well, get your resume ready. Walters should be fired soon. Make sure you mention the Bo Adebayo fiasco and how you would have handled it differently in your interview. No, I just said you were wrong. And you were. Walters is doing fine for a rookie GM. He's doing fine, yes. But now the flaws -- o-line, depth, lame receivers, no MLB -- are painfully obvious. He better be thinking about how he's going to improve it.
  17. Just like you'll disappear, like you always do, when your insatiable desire to be right in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary makes you look like, well, an idiot.
  18. Guess so. Maybe someone can show Walters how it works sometime?
  19. Bush was responsible for 9/11 right? Grow up.So the Durant happy talk on the heels of the failed trade offers was a complete coincidence ? No coincidence. Durant got the info this morning from Dr. Sorta off topic, but does anyone remember that TV show The Western Hour? Migs reminds me of the host of that show. Probably can do a mean Red River Jig to boot.
  20. Why would Taman leak info about the offer for a player that was supposedly rejected knowing that a large portion of the fanbase can't stand the player in question? Sorry not buying it, Taman has nothing to gain by that. What was there to lose in telling Madani after Desjardins had told Taman to go fly a whatever? His reputation? You really are amazing. My name is Migs. Where I come from, GMs are always completely up front and there's no such thing as media spin.
  21. God if Riderfans weren't so oblivious to the way things happen in pro sports they wouldn't say such completely asinine things about their team. Bomber fans may be a negative lot but at least they don't sound like they were born in the back of a turnip truck.
  22. Why would Taman leak info about the offer for a player that was supposedly rejected knowing that a large portion of the fanbase can't stand the player in question? Sorry not buying it, Taman has nothing to gain by that. Madani is tight with Ottawa. He is very tight with Taman too. Taman's also the boss -- do you really think he cares THAT much what you and the melon crew think? Taman's paid to win. Something you won't do with Tito Sunshine.
  23. No no, haven't you heard? He had his Monday Happy Appointment, which nullified all the midnight oil Taman was burning trying to get Burris back into Green.
  24. Vanstone also saying they were after Burris. http://blogs.leaderpost.com/2014/09/29/riders-inquired-about-burris/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed Well, than THAT'S settled. Riderfan backpedaling to begin in 3...2...1...
