I disagree. We can win games with Nichols.I think it'll take 4 more wins to make the playoffs. Let's say we beat Montreal, BC, Ottawa once and another win somewhere. It's definitely doable with Nichols and the D playing at a high level. Montreal with Marsh and BC with Beck we can beat. Montreal with Cato/Crompton and BC with Lulay are both questionable games. I can't really see us beating anyone else unless the defense keeps playing how they did this week - which isn't sustainable.

It really depends if and when Willy can play again this year.

Really. If this game doesn't get the American punter on the roster and Stoudermire off of it, I'm not sure what Hajrullahu and Stoudermire have to show in terms of negative play to get sat/lose the punting job. Hajrullahu's miscues around punting are costing us points every game. They've both been completely awful in those areas all season. We should've stuck with Veltung as the returner over Stoud to begin with.

That one was iffy. I didn't think he had the ball long enough for it to be ruled a catch.

Henoc Muamba and there's no hesitation or thinking twice about it. An adequate backup QB does not have equal value to a star Canadian defensive player.

Are you guys forgetting that Nichols just got benched for a raw rookie because of poor play and his former team gave him away to a division rival? He's clearly an upgrade over Brohm & Marve, but let's not get crazy here and suggest that any team in the CFL would be comfortable with Matt Nichols as their starting QB. That ship sailed about three years ago.

No chance Matt Nichols is a starting CFL QB next year. Not saying its a slam dunk or anything, but I disagree with you. I'd say there's definitely a real chance. Willy, BLM, Collaros, Ray, Cato, Crompton, Reilly, and Harris are 8 QB's who are unquestionably better than Nichols - then there's other guys like Lulay, Durant, Glenn, Franklin, Brett Smith, Drew Tate and possibly Burris hanging around. That's 15 Quarterbacks I'd take over Nichols - don't see how he gets a starting job even if guys like Durant can't recover and Burris calls it quits.

Bombers will probably have the top 2 picks in the 2nd round. Given that we gave up our first rounder, the Riders second rounder IS a first rounder.

Wasn't Greaves a defensive tackle? I find it hard to believe that he was drafted with the intent of him playing tackle.

I like Neufeld better at tackle if he's starting.

Too bad those three players make our entire offense bad, Chevy Walker & Greg Peach also deserve to be added to the list of terrible players but that's just me nitpicking. I hope we can at least handle the Riders at home without Nichols.

Franklin this week wasn't any better than Marve last week. That Calgary D is tough for rookie QB's.
