    I wouldn’t be surprised if this cap goes to the wayside or the screws are significantly loosened after 2020 and the new CBA has been signed.

    Good analysis by Doug. We should start with moving Nichols to one of the desperate teams in the league and using the extra cap space to sign a bonafide number one receiver.

    I see the argument in not wanting multiple threads with only a few comments, but what I find worse is having all the information contained in one thread. I find that makes things feel very cluttered and difficult to discuss any one topic, while also making it easy to miss information.

    A battle of futility between Nichols and Harris would’ve been something to watch for sure.

    Absolutely, but those four guys are all better than just about every receiver we have sans Adams.

    He’s had lots of great receivers though, Jorden, Daniels, Rogers, and Matthews. He just hasn’t had them all on the field together.

    You can’t lose the turnover battle against Calgary and expect to win.

    That punt should’ve been going out of bounds... it’s asisine to punt into the middle of the slippery field in that situation.

    What team in the league aside from maybe the Bombers would be better suited to face Calgary? I’ll say that Ottawa is clearly better than the Riders and the rest of the league.

    Our putrid QB didn’t look any better last week.

    Riders, Stumps, Esks then the rest are at about equal footing.

    We need a true number one receiver. Derel Walker or someone along those lines that would be perfect.

    Nichols failed to consistently make quality plays all year. Trade him to BC for a few quality assets and roll win Streveler.

    Nichols throwing dump passes on second and ten.. my lord O’Shea just refuses to make a ballsy move.

    The threat of Streveler helped us run out the clock last week... I have no idea why we didn’t go back to that. Streveler missed the throw to Harris, but should’ve been used a lot more than he was.

    Our Oline, Quarterbacks, and Recievers all struggled the entire time.

    We’re not going to win this game kicking field goals. Nichols pocket presence as increased on this drive *knock on wood*.

    He almost broke that one. Regardless of how this game turns out, playing him over Lankford was a good move.

    O’Shea needs to at least sit Nichols for a series or two and see if Streveler can provide a spark to this O.
