  1. https://www.cfl.ca/2020/01/31/free-agency-negotiating-window-explained/
  2. Tomorrow is the inaugural start of the CFL Free Agency Negotiating Window. There are a few things to like about this, not the least of which, is the standardization by which teams can communicate and potentially make binding offers with free agent prior to the formal free agency opening on Feb 11. The interested team's specific player offers are submitted to the CFL and CFLPA between Feb 2nd (noon) and 9th (noon). Now it gets good, because all offers will then be shared with the rest of the CFL teams before each team gets 48 hrs to negotiate with their own players. The player has the final 2 hours to mull over all of their offers before making a decision. Since this is the first go, I'm expecting glitches. Hopefully we're treated to some leaks along the way.
  3. Agreed. Orange played on 6 CFL teams in the last 4 years. Something smells.
  4. It's early days, but it looks like there will be no cake-walk to the Eastern Finals this year for Hammie. I'm more optimistic about there being greater parity in the East than I have for a long time.
  5. I’ll defer to you on this Booch, but it seems to me that The Bombers would be one of the few CFL teams that would be strong players in signing him this year (if he’s released by an NFL club) considering how we are the only team that has an OC and playbook that would be able to insert him seamlessly.
  6. I'm not ready to toss Darvin Adams aside. Not only does he already look rejuvenated as a pass catcher with Collaros, but he completely took Frankie Williams and Nick Marshall off their game during the Western Final and G.C.
  7. ....except Gondola. There’s never been a problem with Gondola.
  8. Tighten up your laces Lucky. With BuckBuck and Collaros behind the wheel....the passing game is definitely going to look different.
  9. Instead of signing Nichols, that money is better used to re-up Willie and Drake. Besides, if he does sign with the NFL, I'm not convinced Strev will make it past training camp.
  10. If the BB still want him, this has got to be an incentive for Darvin to re-sign. He looked like a completely different receiver when catching passes from ZC....used much more effecctively.
  11. At least now, there's no need to fret over the draft (since we owe the Argos our first rounder for ZC). Where does this put us at...18th pick?
  12. This is the signing we needed. Anything else is gravy.
  13. Maybe our new OC sees something in him that he likes.
  14. Confirmed that he has signed a futures contract. As per Bleacher Report: Typically, futures contracts are minimum-salary deals with little or no signing bonus. Most players signed to futures contracts will be fighting for a spot in camp; teams aren't going to invest much into players who may well be cut the following autumn.
  15. Thinking of Clarence Denmark right now. I remember how he lit it up that first game he was pulled off the couch for a return to the team. ..Always a class act. I wonder what he's doing now?
  16. Nice. No turnarounds less than 6 days. I haven't checked to see if any other teams have short weeks.
  17. The coat belonged to his gf’s mom. If you listen to his off-season plans, on the South Dakota broadcast, you would hear that he is far from married.
  18. Gotta think that a new vision for how he was going to be used going forward was presented to him. Intriguing that he would sign before going to free agency, given there are no QBs under contract to entice him. It sure speaks to the BB culture as a selling feature.
  19. That sound you hear is Osh snapping to attention.
  20. I'm too lazy to check out Burke's roster changes over the course of the season but it seems to me that Richie was tweaking his, right to the cup. Gaitor, Fenner, Rios out-new guys in.
  21. Rewatched our home win against them. Our D was no screaming hell at the time and we still held them to 1. Jennings was atrocious.
  22. The thing is, who would have predicted the success that the 4 QBs you named would have? DE and NA were no names & CF and VA were retreads. Injury or poor play (of current starting QBs) could very well uncover a few new stars.
  23. No comment from me on whether Pierce should or shouldn’t be the new OC until the 2020 Head Coach is named.
