  1. Always am leery to release such a veteran, but Renaud just never hit that next level of improvement and consistency that guarantees security. Although he throws a nice pass, no Renaud for us next year.
  2. CFL Power rankings: Calgary - Saskatchewan - Edmonton - BC - Winnipeg - Hamilton - Toronto - Montreal - Ottawa Montreal @ Ottawa Montreal - injured----Deslauriers, Bo Bowling, Larry Taylor and possibly Kyries Hebert. - Hey, Troy Smith is ready to come off the 6 game IR. Any takers? Ottawa - injured----Kierre Johnson, Chevon Walker and their 'future star' Thomas DeMarco - Antoine McKenzie should be back in the lineup. No word on Damazo Munoz although he is on the roster. ||||||||\\\\\\\\\\\\||||||||||||||\\\\\\\\\\ Saskatchewan @ Edmonton Saskatchewan - Who cares? Edmonton - Shamawd Chambers could be gone for the year, Oramasionawu is still out, Tyler Thomas is likely to miss the game. - a skirmish broke out between Sorensen and Sewell at practice and Jones had this comment: “You don’t encourage it but at the same time you’re encouraged because of the fact that that play at practice mattered,” Eskimos head coach Chris Jones said of the scuffle. |||||||||||\\\\\\\\\\\\\||||||||||||||||\\\\\\\\\\\\ Who will win? I'll take Ottawa at home And, although Edmonton losing would be more beneficial for the Bombers, there is no way in Regina, I'd actually pull for the Riders. That's like saying Wullerton…. you just have to spit after saying it. So, by default…Edmonton.
  3. I think he had more offers…but he dropped one.
  4. BC plays the exact same teams as we do. Calgary - twice…….Hamilton, Ottawa, Edmonton ….Playing all the teams the same, win lose or draw, if we beat BC….we're in, so no, a loss doesn't realistically mean the end of the season…..just a disappointment.
  5. Same old, same old from you guys. What happens if Hamilton stinks out the joint? What happens if we just play a good clean game and win on a FG? Hamilton is a better team lately, but I'm still not convinced Collaros can beat us alone.
  6. Faint hope. Any relation to Bob Hope?
  7. Remember, the day after you sack Knapp, (sounds weird) and Howard, is the day that injuries to the O-Line are going to start to happen, big time. It's some kind of Cordaro law or something.
  8. 680 CJOB Sports @CJOBSports · 9m Drew willy is throwing again at bomber practice--mike O'Shea is going to have a tough decision re quarterback. That guy just won't stay down. ****Updates @CJOBSports Brian brohm and drew willy getting reps at qb at bomber practice but brohm getting more. Debate among yourselves * Kirk Penton @PentonKirk · 11m Just to keep everyone guessing, Brian Brohm starts with the first-team offence. #Bombers
  9. I'm guessing, mind you, but I can see Turner coming out of it, because it seems Willy has trouble connecting…with Bryant.
  10. All I know is that if Mike O'Shea says Drew Willy is tough…then Drew Willy is tough.
  11. O'Shea was talking about Willy and reported Willy was saying, pretty well after the game, that he'll play against Ham. He wants to play. Of course, they'll monitor him and the key is they'll see how he is in two days, after he makes all the throws, and if he is in pain etc. O'Shea says Willy has been pretty "bang on" in his self-assessment and he is learning to trust his players on what they say, the more he gets to know them. No one is going to take chances and certainly no one is "insisting he's fine'.
  12. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming Willy Watch: Drew in full gear today tossing lightly, 10-15 yard passes max here in the early going.
  13. Coach did say on his show that Willy says he'll be alright, and that was from the hospital bed with intravenous lines in both arms. But all kidding aside, Willy would play if he was given the choice, he just wants to. Don't know if there is an actual injury there, but he must be as sore as hell. Do we want him in there? Sure do. Maybe if he's just sore and not injured. It is his throwing arm after all. I have the feeling that if Willy does throw today, and is somewhat successful, O'Shea will let him start. Just hope it's not based on a premature evaluation.
  14. Bump... Passing thoughts: I was talking to one of the chain gang officials recently, after that BC game, and he gave me these observations: He observed all 6 QBs throwing the ball in pre-game warmup. All the QBs could make all the throws on the field, to each side etc. but only 2 could throw the ball on a rope…zip-like…QB Drew willy and QB Robert Marve. Paul McCallum can throw a pretty nice pass. Drew Willy is a bigger athlete than he appears, body-size wise. Carl Fitzgerald is an absolute beast, body-wise. Grisby, really fiery guy. Mosley, rah-rah guy on the sidelines, good on the bench. Lirim, funny guy, a bit quirky. Etcheverry, smaller, quiet guy. Mike O'Shea is not always quiet on the sidelines calling out positions, and what to do…very in tune and aware. His manner on the sidelines is real…stoic and even tempered. O'Shea did mention once, on the Coach's show, that he is aware of "Amygdala hijack" and explains why he does not explode on his players when they make mistakes. It's an emotional response in the human brain and when it happens, rather than thinking through a problem and acting on it using reason, the emotions that occur can take over and cause us to act too quickly or irrationally. Interesting stuff.
  15. Yup it's a great big conspiracy! Refs from all over Canada are instructed to do whatever they can go help the Riders win. Who said anything about refs?
  16. ……….A win……….………To Saskatchewan…….again. Congratulations!
  17. What's embarrasing is that Rider fans come over here and pretend that nobody actually saw that game that Sask. fans seem so proud to have won. Think about that. They think that was a hard earned victory over a very good team, not one that literally gave them the game…with a missed call or two thrown in. Oh the crying that will ensue when the gods even out those hand me overs the Riders get.
  18. Saskatchewan 9-3 in the standings. But are real close to 6-6… really.
  19. The Hamilton Tiger Cats say NO Well he didn't throw any big interceptions near the end of the game so that's a plus. Plus ? ... maybe. Hall of Famer ? Hell ****ing NO. If he can actually find a way to beat the scary good defenses of Edmonton, Calgary, and Montreal, then we'll talk. But that being said, this Rider win was handed to them by Hank Burris. That old washed up man is 100% to blame for the Redblacks problems even more so than Rick Campbell. You know what they say about excuses right? Now would be a good time for you to go away…quietly.
  20. Well, if you mean Max Hall of famer….
  21. What you didn't take into consideration was the issue of subtlety of word transference….a rather common oversight.
  22. Whose idea was it to have a football game interfering with all these Hall of Fame interviews?
